REAIM 2026 came to a close yesterday. While we saw commitments to principles like meaningful human control and #HumanRights in military AI, we still need to international action toward the negotiation of legal rules, both for #AutonomousWeapons as well as other aspects of #MilitaryAI.

As states move toward new international law on #AutonomousWeapons, the military AI weapons discussed at #REAIM must be under the same legal scrutiny. States must take stock of the harmful trajectory of military AI and ensure that more #AutomatedHarm doesn't come to pass on the battlefield.
