It seems like lots of authors are heading to newsletters and substack and that just feels so full circle. Going back to a blog roll that I read like the morning news.

2025 New Years resolutions check in: I've got 17k drafted of a YA contemporary, written a query letter, written a picture book and have started revising the YA I will query soon. Feeling good about making some healthy writing habits so far! Now, to write a synopsis...

Had an amazing chat with my critique partners today about why we write. It was more defining than I expected it to be and super encouraging. I think all creatives can benefit from being mindful about this.

Was feeling nostalgic so I started watching Angels in the Outfield and am SHOOK Matthew McConaughey is in it.

Finished my latest round of revisions for YA Contemporary project! I've got my next project outlined and honestly, I'll be excited to hop into something different now.

I've been writing short little warm up poems once a day for the last few months and have found it totally uplifting. They aren't long, are often full of rambles, have no polish, but somehow they boost my confidence and give me strength.

I finished Immortal Longings last night and I'm really curious how she is gonna adapt the whole story of Antony and Cleopatra. At this point any of the three main characters could end up being the big bad guy.

Little Free Library trip was a success. I had a decent haul and it's one of my favorite ways to distribute out some ARC's.

Sister and I are about to embark on a local Little Free Library hunt. I've got a stack of books to trade out and am hoping I find some gold!

Tell me why my library has book one and book three on Libby but not book two? They don't even have a physical copy to borrow either. How did this happen.

I just finished up a new draft of my YA Rom Com Fake Dating short story that will be in the Indigenous Authored, Davy June's Anthology! I can't wait for this story to be out in the world gathering some love.

Gonna keep encouraging #Romancelandia folks to shout out so we can all find each other again! Or at least like this post so people can go through the likes and get you. <3

Currently trying to stop obsessing over how to execute the first chapter on this first draft so I'll just get started already.
