Last night was my first social event meeting new people in a long time. Donated my last dress, chatted with folks, and I think I'll go again next month! I still want that long, black velvet look, but maybe a winter coat instead. Now to get a little more writing in before the day job!

Caught up on patreon posts, had a wonderful cafe writing session this morning, and I finally finished decorating my shoes! I will celebrate today's progress and try to remember that despite the excitement, this is not an every day expectation.

I think it’s both, & those two things are separate (though connected) Our cognitive load is huge *because* in addition to paid work we’ve the expectation of constant emotional & domestic labor, kinkeeping, dependent care, & vast self-regulation in order to manage the outsourced regulation of others
