Eisenstein advocated "intellectual cinema" as a form of dialectical fusion between science and art. Intravenous is an intellectual horror film that skillfully combines this dialectic with a nostalgic sensibility of 1970s horror and a discussion-based political drama from the same era.

Exciting bit of news today: I'm happy to announce that Intravenus will be having its first public showing this upcoming November with the 2025 Buried Alive Film Festival in Atlanta, GA. More news will be coming very soon about the date it will be shown and where you can get your tickets.

Production on The God Machine continues at the same time as Intravenus. My current plan is to have both films completed around the same time, likely following Intravenus directly with The God Machine.

The 26th and 28th of June were the final days of scripted principal photography for Intravenus. These filming days counted for a large part of the movie's closing segment alongside the first of a set of cutaways that provide further context to the film's scenario.

Filming on Intravenus continues. The 21st and 23rd marked two of the three ensemble cast days in filming, tackling a majority of the film’s first act and a sequence for the second act. Alongside returning faces we also see the arrival of the last two primary characters, Rudolph and Comet.

Amidst the activity of production, the 23rd also sadly marked the last day of production for Brice Heller and makeup artist and production worker Zia, both were involved with the production since its first day and will be missed on the last few days of shooting.

Filming involved nonsensical phrenological exams, morbid anatomical projections, more mannequin puppetry, and a full table of Futurist-inspired cuisine served with a side of slight regret. More can be read here. www.instagram.com/p/DJHNohURcEZ/

Filming on Intravenus continues. March concluded on an intensely active note with our third day of principal photography, four scenes were tackled, three of which featured dialogue that was as intense thematically as it was in length and detail. Editing of the scenes has been ongoing since shooting.

One of the scenes of note was Hermey's Chemical Reaction monologue. Functioning as a somnambulist for most of the film, he briefly 'awakens' to give a grotesquely Artaudian dialogue about the biological nature of his obsessions (my attempt at doing a variant of the theater of cruelty in film form).

2/4 ...insanely good footage that is really exciting and I think captures well and imaginatively the great performances these two gave. A nice mix of the conventional with gritty unorthodox that is theatrical and wholly cinema. Some have remarked this could be a play, the way it's structured...

3/4 ...the writing, monologues, and while there are many nods to theater, this was designed for film, not the stage. "Intravenus" is not filmed theater.

I was just told earlier tonight of the current situation a friend of ours, Becca, is in right now. I drew this as a wish for her to have a successful fight against her illnesses and for her to come out in the best condition she ever could.

Farewell to a champion of American underground film. Very few directors existed here like David. Especially ones who brought the sort of true experimentation he had to popular culture while showing people how to open their creative horizons.

Starting off with a favorite for as long as I can remember. Killing Joke in my eyes essentially had two perfect albums in their career with a number of experiments in-between of varying levels of quality. Some were great, some were okay. God forbid you hear the ones that flunked.

I rarely post images of myself, I'm just not all that keen of putting myself at the forefront. I make an exception when it snows since most of my art is made in the spirit of winter, and true winters hardly happen here, so I may as well make the most of it whenever it does arrive.
