Tonight, Michael Mulgrew once again saw fit to lecture members on democracy. I'd argue he fails to practice what he preaches. And I do, repeatedly, in the piece below.

There are very few obstacles to our retaining the UFT RTC chapter. I could name them, but I won't. They need to be overcome or we're handing the chapter back to Unity with a ribbon on it.

There is no world in which it is normal for the president to publicly call upon his attorney general to hurry up and prosecute his political foes. It’s like the Watergate tapes but posted on social media. Let’s get a grip on what’s happening here.

It is possible to condemn political violence without venerating objectively bad people who made America worse. Let's try for that.

UFT Unity deems an opposition that does not, in fact, oppose, to be "responsible." We're gonna need to be well more than that if we want to protect ourselves.
