I FINISHED MY FIRST SEW PROJECT! I hand sewed a pillowcase for a small pillow that doesn’t have replacements that are easily acquired! I’m seriously so proud of it.

I always forget how wild my life has been until I drop some random lore on a new friend and they’re like “wait.. WHAT??? 👀” and then I’m like oh right, most people don’t experience/ do things like that. I always laugh and it gives me a new appreciation for all the shenanigans i’ve gotten up to.

As Bluesky has grown, I've seen a lot of backsliding on alt text. Please try to be considerate to others and include alt text with all of your images. It helps everyone. Indeed, in the "accessibility" setting in Bluesky you can set it to make sure you add alt text, which is a useful thing to do.

Sometimes I dump out my entire box of stitch markers and mix them up when I have the itch to sort and organize things.

Tmw you want to scream trying to figure out how to crochet specific stitches in a c2c format but everyone labels/ seems to think that the box stitch is the only way to crochet c2c and therefore c2c is what that pattern/ stitch is called. I only recently learned that it’s a box stitch bc of this. 🫠

Sooo I decided to design a biomechanical crochet piece. This lead to me deciding to make it a full art piece to go along with the crochet piece. I’m about to learn a whooooole lot of things and already am as you can see in the WIP photos. Here’s to 2025 and experimentation. 🧶

So I’ve been working through recreating a lot of my old traditional art pieces as digital art. This is the one that I decided on this time as my for fun creative piece. The WIP with the original watercolor traditional piece in the bottom left corner. I’m pretty proud of it so far.

I’m getting closer to refining and finishing my coffin bag pattern but I am STRUGGLING. How the heck do you explain something that you don’t know how to put into words that make sense without seeing an image? 🤣 This is one of the most challenging things I’ve done for crochet projects. 🫠

I can sit in my studio crocheting for 12 hours but the minute I crochet for 12 hours on stream everyone gets upset at me for not taking care of myself. /lh Hilariously, I’m better about taking care of myself when I stream my crochet shenanigans. 🤣

Decided to make crochet symbol brushes for Clip Studio so I can just use them if I need/ want to when I’m trying to figure things out. It’s been kind of helpful so far. If you were to use brushes in a program like this, what stitch symbols would you want to have on hand?

Yesterday was my 1 year crochetiversary so I went and found all the pictures of my finished projects that I could find and took pics of the ones I still have in my possession and made a collage! I didn’t realize how much stuff I made. 😂🧶

OH I MADE A SECOND CROP TOP! I custom dyed this AFTER I crocheted and connected everything together with white cotton yarn. I would post a picture of me wearing it but it shows a LOT of boob. 😂 I really enjoy the process and want to make more things to dye! 🧶

Making a crop top! I dyed each pentagon and square individually with dye from a tie dye kit and have now connected them together. I’m so glad I didnt abandon this project just because I didnt like how the dye job turned out. I learned a lot with this! I’m super excited to keep making things this way

I wrote my own pattern for these cherries i made today on stream while I was making them free form so it only took me five hours and after writing three different patterns for three different sizes of the leaves i finally made them in the size i wanted and was able to connect everything together
