First weekend in our new house, heating system more or less condemned. Decided to get a heat pump & cancellation meant they started Monday. All the stuff turned up, only it & survey was wrong, 5 day job not 4 meant nearly a week without hot water, the engineer & fitters are great guys though.

Things I've noticed moving out of the City. Country birds are noisy and it kicks off regularly. Buzzard being harassed by a Blackbird when it got too close to it's nest and a Robin being dive bombed by a wood pigeon , not sure of the back story to that one.

So does this mean , fare dodging bad expenses fraud good ?

I was told we have spent too much time in our (new) local village Pubs , so today was an outdoors day. Garden Centre then a 5 mile walk into Yatton along the Strawberry line. Sadly the Cafe was shut and we ended up in the Pub. The sign said it was Karma .

Spent half the night installing Windows on iMac so MRs can work from home. What a Faff , no internet available ? That Internet I downloaded the programme from ! After hunting cables & connections, the PC laughing at me , we've done it. Only for her work connection to say no ! Sod it, off to bed

So the new house is an easy mile walk away. Far from looking at it as a problem I see pluses. 1) we can’t carry plants home 2) we have to pass 2 Pubs when we do go home #positivity

Been to RHS Malvern , nice show . Got home for a local mini pub crawl and Pizza , now Mrs is dozing while I try the Cider from our last trip to a Garden. This gardening thing might be ok after all.

When my wife says “we have nothing on today” , you just know we’ll end up at a Garden somewhere. So we ended up at Barleywood Walled Garden, one benefit is they do their own Cider. My wife also likes supporting local businesses, so I feel I’m helping

After almost 6 months of faff , a Solicitor who doesn't do anything & an indecisive buyer, looks like we could exchange contracts this week, looking to move the middle of next month. Pathetic it takes so long with us buying an unoccupied house & our buyers being first timers.

House buying should be so easy. Latest is ,our Solicitor had the last query response back on April 1st. I rang today, she's off on leave,her assistant got a Colleague to check things & send out the Contracts. We have to fucking pay this Solicitor a lot of money & all she's done is sit on her hands.
