What happens when human labour no longer has economic value due to AI, and how does UBI fit in? We sat down with
@daveshap.bsky.social
and Dalibor Petrovic, two people leading the frontier of post-labour economics.

I believe AI will create massive wealth and potential for humankind to flourish. But no matter, what we can all anticipate that the gains will be extremely unevenāperhaps more than any technological revolution that came before. And this is true even if there isn't rapid and sudden mass job loss. š§µ

Most housing commentators/politicians actually actively avoid talking about this. Why? A healthy economy probably shouldn't be this heavily indexed in land as an investment or chasing rents We have better things to investment in. Small businesses, families, education, basic needs. Come on Canada

Rogers laid off 1000+ agents after hellish work conditions "they needed us to train the AI and were strategically plotting our demise of replacing us" "expected to work non-stop talking back to back calls like a robot" (12 sec breaks max) UBI is bargaining power and security.
