This. THIS. Why do some people think authors post “for themselves”? No. Some writers write because they feel the need to write — but _posting_ is never “for us”. It’s for the readers. And if the readers don’t show their interest, then… what’s the point?

There should be a square saying “217 messages sent to the poor beta within a single day”, and a square with “refusal to cut the horrible, punny humour”.

Foreshadowing: because sometimes you need to hit your readers over the head with a literary sledgehammer.

Writing a fight scene is always equal measure exciting and terrifying. Even more terrifying — writing a bigger scale fight and having to keep track of everyone’s spell slots, abilities and positions. Enemies included.
