Also people can be illiterate not solely because of not studying. We’re acting the literacy crisis is kids/young adults fault rather that a societal failing or even cultural shift. It’s not about fighting the things you can’t change but rather working with them so that kids can still get educated.

I think reading and writing paragraph responses to questions in highschool English class is probably good enough with very basic essay writing but I think more in depth writing should be more focus on in college based on what career/major you’re going into I guess. Idk 🤷‍♀️
