The 40k game starts talking about an 'unknown threat' and that's when I know the campaign is about to get unfun.

How Deidre came to work at Bolt Reaction is a story in itself. She may be our smiling barmaid but there's a good reason why she doubles as a bouncer too. That's a comic plot for later. I will say that her backstory is just as dirty as most of the clientele at the bar.

Some would think rebooting the Sylvia comic after I poured time and money into making three issues was a weird call. I meant it when I said I felt there was no salvaging the plot in the first version. Making sure I wrote an enjoyable and coherent story felt the most important to me.

Only Artie is aware things have changed in the comic's artstyle. Why? Artie's cartoon nature just allows him to perceive certain things differently. Tom still sees everything as the same but Artie knows bringing up the changes might cause some existential crisis. Easier to not deal with that.

The best part of being a comic writer is realizing a large portion of your readership will not be from social media.

I feel I overestimated the usefulness of scrolling format on Abnormal Shift. Seemed like a good idea but it's created an issue in advertising the comic panels on certain sites. After the next chapter we're switching to a standard comic page format. That'll also make it easier to bring to print!

A friend invited me into the Irony play test. This game is gonna be perfect for those who want a Signalis type game in tone but it's more Dead Space in pace. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the combat system especially when against multiple enemies. Hopefully the dev sees my feedback.

I know Forever Winter is gonna revamp the tunnels requiring less water but they seriously need to just overhaul the entire thing. I get they want it to be this maze-like exploration but they're still just annoying to navigate especially when you wanna get to specific zones.

I actually wrote for the first time in months yesterday. Just a spontaneous burst of 1,200 words on the novel in progress. A scene that I started telling myself in my head when I thought, “Wait, I could just write this down.” And then there my characters were, just as alive and present as ever.
