That night, Jayce wakes up to an empty bed and his first instinct is to check the crib for the baby. With a yawn, he waits a few minutes for Viktor's return and when it doesn't happen, he begins to pot on his prosthetic. The baby is sleeping soundly in her crib, unbothered and peaceful.

With the basket in hand, Jayce carries everything back inside for him and Viktor to wash. "I think we should give our little peanut a name soon, don't you think?"

Jayce has put a large sunhat on the baby's head and has taken her outside to look at their garden. She's strapped to his chest as he works on harvesting more vegetables. Even though it's the next day, he is s till unsettled by what happened last night.

Needless to say, I think she wants more attention.

Jayce is brushing his teeth when he hear’s the baby start wailing, he doesn’t rush. Viktor is with her.

Jayce turns to see his birthday cake, topped with pieces from their garden and produce from the locals. "Did you bake me a cake too?" Jayce can't stop smiling as he looks to Viktor.

"It's reassuring to hear that some people take months to name their babies...though I still feel bad calling her peanut." Jayce is non the wiser that a surprise is waiting for him inside.

Starting to prepare the wood for the little one's crib today. Sorry for the silence, I had to go into town to get some larger tools and supplies for this project!

Jayce is sitting at their desk, sketching out the blueprints for a crib. This isn't something that he expected and he hopes that he can get Viktor on board with some of the planning. He purposefully makes a few mistakes that Viktor would notice, that's his trick to pique his interest.

We’ve started “tummy time” with our daughter, she’s not very good at it yet but she’s determined to be.

No we haven’t, everyone loves to refer to her as a little bug which is cute. I want to wait until Viktor is ready to talk about a name… But she does remind me of moonlight, her hair and the arcane markings on her.

In the silence Jayce goes through some of the stages of grief over his comment. Part of him wonders if he says he was kidding or just slowly walk away. When he laughs, Jayce smiles. "What's so funny? It's an appropriate solution! Someone needs to drink it, right? To help?"

It took a while but, I think that fatherly love has started to kick in. Shes the cutest little thing.

As Jayce goes to make the final touches on their lunch, he feels an excruciating pain in his leg. "Damn..." He leans against the counter, hoping that relieving some of the pressure would help.

Jayce had just laid the baby onto their couch, Elena brought her a cute onesie that Jayce put in her immediately. “Do you like your new clothes?” Jayce smiles at her, “there are little flowers on it.”

While the doctor checks on Viktor, Jayce keeps their baby occupied. He doesn’t say it out loud, but in his mind he’s started to say ‘our baby’ instead of ‘the baby’. It’s a subconscious claim that terrifies him, he doesn’t know how long he’ll have her. “You’ve got a strong grip.”

Jayce lays beside Viktor in bed, his hand caressing his cheek. “Did you want to hear about her?”

When Jayce opens his eyes he’s in the familiarity of the astral plane, he’s shocked at first, he hasn’t been here since Viktor and him reconnected. He looks down to his hands before he glances around, not entirely sure why he’s there.

I’m afraid I’ll grow attached even with a nickname, I shouldn’t hold her as much as I do but… I can’t help it. I don’t want her to feel unloved.

“I… don’t know what to call you,” Jayce admits as he dries her off, “not until I know if you’ll be leaving…” His voice softens, “can’t get too attached” “But… I should call you something…” Jayce pauses as he looks over her, she has arcane markings all over her body.

Newborns can’t have water… did you know that? I didn’t… that could have ended very poorly.

Elena went home to check on her kids and gather some more supplies for us, but that doesn’t mean we’re alone. Sashelba is here, when she has eyes on the baby, I’m able to spend time with Viktor. Sometimes he makes sounds, but he hasn’t spoken a full sentence sense…

I’m feeling guilt. Guilt this happened without Viktor’s ability to even agree to it. Guilt we didn’t get the chance to decide if we wanted this now. Guilt for this little girl who’s remarkable, unsettling, nameless and unloved. Viktor isn’t okay and I don’t know how to help.

While the doctor checks out Viktor, Jayce stands in their living room with the baby in his arms. After he notices the mole, he’s suddenly very curious what color her eyes are.

Jayce still hasn’t come from his stupor but he’s much better off than Viktor has been. His partner has been bed bound and silent since her birth. Jayce marvels at her, their nameless daughter. He’s torn, she needs him but he wants nothing else than to support his partner.

Jayce notices the baby start to go down and quickly scoops her into his arms. As he gets a better look at her, his eyes start to well with tears. “How are you here?” She’s beautiful.

In their room, Jayce allows Viktor to fully clean onto him while also attempting to support his weight. "I'll be here the whole time," Jayce promsies as he kisses his temple, "Squeeze my hand however you want, scream and cry as much as you need to."

Jayce returns to see that Viktor seems to be more distressed than he had been when he left. “Viktor?” Jayce runs to his side before placing the fresh clothes beside him. “What’s wrong? What hurts?”

Jayce gives Viktor a moment to get in the tub before he pulls a chair beside him, he's not there to invade his privacy, he's there for moral support and massages. "Need anything?" Jayce asks as he reaches his hand into Viktor's hair.

I'm very proud of the renovations we have been doing. Everything looks great, Viktor isn't feeling very well, but I am going to help him outside to get some fresh air and enjoy the summer view of our cottage.

Picnic ended a little early, Viktor isn’t feeling well so we are heading back home.

Getting a picnic ready but it seemed one of Maple’s babies wants to come along. She snuck up on me, I didn’t hear a PEEP.

Jayce holds Rio close to his chest, her little paws occasional kneed the air and his skin while she sleeps. "She's so precious.."

Their cottage appears in the distance and Jayce is excited to be home and introduce their newest family member. That’s not the only thing on his mind. Sashelba’s comment before they left along with his own behavior last night has him wondering if he’d made Viktor feel bad.

The only reason Jayce doesn’t immediately strip Viktor of his clothes is because he has to put their purchases in the corner of their room at the inn. Night had fallen and while they could have traveled home Jayce didn’t want to wait that long to be inside Viktor.

With his hands gripping Viktor's ass, Jayce has him lifted above the box as he fucks into him. Any extra time they'd have shopping is about to end up deep in Viktor's womb.

Jayce throws their money satchel over his shoulder before waiting for Viktor at the door. With new mouths to feed, they were going to need plenty more food. “What else do we need from town?” He wonders out loud, “Feed… is it too early to start thinking about wintertime preparations?”

Jayce helps where he can, supporting Viktor’s weight with his hands or one of his legs. He’d sacrifice his own comfort for Viktor’s at anytime. In position, Jayce places his hand on Viktor’s back and pushes him down, watching as he opens up before sliding inside of his warmth.

Jayce wakes up that morning with his a taste for Viktor on his mind. When he turns to see Viktor is still asleep, he comes up with a beautiful way to wake him.

We are grandparents!!! I can't believe it, Maple did such a good job!

Jayce rides their horse, Hvězda, back from town. The summer breeze pushes his unkempt hair back, his face carries soot from the forge. As much as he enjoys working, he can not wait to have his own forge closer to home.

"Perfect!" Jayce smiles as he cuts Viktor a slice of peach pie. He make sure it's cooled a bit before he brings it upstairs on a tray. "How are you feeling, beautiful?"

Viktor caught a cold, he's not doing too well. Said he'll be in bed for the day. I'm going to make him some breakfast.
