Despite trying to force out developers, there’s an obvious economic depression across many communities with strange pockets of massive wealth. Lots of construction of massive homes on the west side.

I’m in Moloka’i for the first time ever. It’s as beautifully untouched as I imagined after watching residents protect their home from outside interests all these years.

Look, I can’t even deal with this right now, ok? There’s too many dark shoreline webcams and charts of wave heights to review.

Will be embarking on a reread of The Pearl, a book I first read in 7th grade. Back then, I was learning how to read a story for themes and character analysis, a process I’d never done, at a new school.
