Deal's Green Mayor and Mayoress, Mike and Christine visited an Aspens open day for the newly opened Puffin House in Walmer, supporting adults with autism and learning disabilities to live as independently as possible.

Deal’s Mayor and Mayoress visited a local care home and sang carols with residents - much festive cheer and a cheeky mince pie or two were enjoyed…

After the Lantern Parade on the Pier we went over to the Berry for some Christmas drinks and chat. Oh and there were some mince pies too! It was a lovely evening. Why not join us for another drink this Friday evening at the Red Lion in Dover for part 2!

We were at Samphire's Lantern Parade on Deal Pier on Friday evening to commemorate the season and remember the many lives lost in the English Channel. There were passioned speeches, carol signing and even some dancing.

Last Friday, the Mayor and Mayoress of Deal, Mike and Christine visited Hornby Hobbies in Margate. Mayor Mike said; "Thanks to everyone who came to Hornby Hobbies - hope you had as much fun as we did!"

Green Mayor Mike, Deputy Mayor Pete and Mayoress Christine attended the Royal British Legion Downs Branch Remembrance Service on Tuesday. Mike laid a wreath of behalf of the people of Deal. Great to see so many schools represented and the children and young people’s superb handmade wreaths.

Remembrance Day Service and Parade held at Dover War Memorial, today. It was a wonderful, moving service attended by representatives from across the services and community. Green Town Councillors Beccy Sawbridge and Nick Shread were in attendance as well as Mayor of Dover and Dover MP Mike Tapp.

Celebrating the 326th birthday of Deal Town, the Mayor and Mayoress gave away 300 tote bags at Deal Saturday Market on Sat 11 October. Charter Day is marked each year in the town with a special focus on the Saturday market as the 1699 Charter allowed Deal to become a market town in its own right

Climate Action Day returns to the Town Hall on Saturday 15 November and it’s free to attend. The annual event is hosted by Deal Town Council to coincide with COP and with focus on the sea. Local groups with a special interest in our sea will be exhibiting. Go to buff.ly/5BZ08l6 to learn more.
