Nooo! Miura/Kihara skated so well in the Team Event, but Ryuichi having to end the lift early will keep them out of the final group. They’re still in it, but they’re gonna have to skate fairly clean in the free to get the gold. #MilanoCortina2006

Really good short for Conti/Macii aside from Sara’s messy landing on the sbs 3S. I still love the entrance into their death spiral! (And now I understand why her boyfriend Tim Dieck was wearing a matador costume in the audience - they’re skating to The Wild Bull! 😂)

A good short for Metelkina/Berulava, but it is kinda shocking to see Anastasiia stumble on the landing of the throw flip. She’s usually so rock solid! #MilanoCortina2026

Talk about heartbreak… I’ve become such a fan of Nagaoka/Moriguchi this season. I thought they might even be a dark horse for the podium, but with two falls, that’s last place and no spot in the free. 💔 Good to see Yumitada comforting poor Yuna.

Oh, man, after all the struggles they had in trying to convince the Dutch fed to send them, it’s kinda heartbreaking that Danilova/Tsiba just barely missed making the free after their best skate of the season… Still, good job, and I’m glad they were sent after all! #MilanoCortina2026

After their terrible short at Nationals (which I never actually got to see), what redemption for Chan/Howe to have such a great skate at the Olympics! Shades of how good they were before his shoulder injury. #MilanoCortina2026

Really good short for Kovalevs! He did have a turnout on the sbs 3T, and they got a couple of level 2s, but it’s good enough for the free, a great accomplishment considering they were originally 1st alternates. #MilanoCortina2026

Huh, seems like I skipped over the second group. Must have been later in the recording from USA Network before they switched over to NBC. Well, I’ll take a break for now, then hopefully I can catch up with that group when I come back!

And now we get to a downer moment… On the plus side, Stellato-Dudek/Deschamps are officially Olympians, and Deanna looks stunning in her Oscar de la Renta dress! But, argh, that fluke fall on the dismount of the lift… At least they make the free, but a medal might be tough… #MilanoCortina2026

Wow, Kam/O’Shea! A hand down on the throw, but Ellie in particular seems to be skating with a lot more confidence since their great skates in the team event. Maybe she’s finally getting over her imposter syndrome now that she has that gold. #MilanoCortina2026

Aww! I’m sure Ghilardi/Ambrosini were disappointed not to skate in the team event, missing out on that bronze, but I hope having a skate like that at their home Olympics makes up a little for that. Great musical timing on the twist and throw 3Lz! #MilanoCortina2026

I’m starting to feel like a broken record, but, jeez, these pairs are all skating fabulously! I know it won’t last, but Pavlova/Sviatchenko set themselves up really well to make a run for the podium in the free. Great job! #MilanoCortina2026

After a bit of an inconsistent season, it’s so wonderful to see Chtchetinina/Wozniak have a great skate here! And the Pierogi Mascot appears again! Lowkey one of my favorite parts of this Olympics. I wonder if it has a name… How about Pawel? Pawel the Pierogi! #MilanoCortina2026

Have I mentioned how much Exogenesis does not work as a short? ‘Cause it really, really, really doesn’t. That being said, that was a pretty solid skate for Golubeva/Giotopoulos-Moore! The double twist will keep them out of the free, though. #MilanoCorrina2026

A much stronger short from Sui/Han than in the team event, but Wenjing did step out of the sbs 3T. We’ll see if their bodies can hold up through one more skate…. #MilanoCortina2026

I really wish Adam Siao Him Fa had played it safe and not gone for the 4Lz. He left it out of the short and got a personal best! That hard fall on the opening 4Lz just set the tone for the rest of the program… #MilanoCortina2026

I’ll always remember watching Kevin Aymoz skating his Bolero live in Allen at Skate America and how amazing that performance was. It’s too bad he couldn’t repeat it on Olympic ice, but that was still very good! #MilanoCortina2026

Wow, it is just incredible how well Stephen Gogolev has skated over four programs this past week. I would not be surprised at all if he lands on the podium at Worlds. Great job! #MilanoCortina2026

I can’t imagine how difficult it was for Kyrylo Marsak to skate after Petr, of all skaters. That was a rough skate, but his short was wonderful, and hopefully we’ll see him again in 2030, representing a safe and peaceful Ukraine. ❤️ #MilanoCortina2026

Wasn’t Petr Gumennik the one who was doing 3A-3Lo combos as a junior? Shame he doesn’t do them anymore; it’s my favorite combo. Anyway, great clean skate for him with lots of quads instead. #MilanoCortina2026

A pretty good skate for Deniss Vasiljevs, especially considering that I believe he’s sick? Doubled the salchow, and I thought he was slow during step sequence near the end, but he held it together. Good job! #MilanoCortina2026

Aleksandr Selevko is another one who started out really strong, only for things to unravel during the last two passes. Fantastic step sequence, though! #MilanoCortina2026

Man, Lukas Britschgi was having an amazing skate until the last two jump passes. Still, a lot better than his short, so good job!
