So I found a gameplay mod called Hell Crusher, and... well, let's just say I think it would feel most at home in a slaughtermap pack. So I took it into Slaughterfest 2012. Many many dakka make the happy brain chemicals occur.

So Jazzmaster made another Abysm game! Abysm X: Dance of Blood It's pretty great so far! I'm a little disappointed there aren't many new weapons, and some of the maps have some big, empty, open spaces with nothing in them, but overall, another solid entry in the Abysm series!

So, a friend requested that I come up with a combination of mods for "a fishing trip gone horribly wrong." The combination of Vox Arcana, DBP 36: Aquatic Wonder, and Grapple Z Reel came to mind.

After playing so much Hell Forged recently, I figured I'd move onto REKKR. First time I tried to play this, I thought it was a Doom 2 TC, but it was actually for Ultimate Doom, so what wound up happening was I loaded into the Doom 2 maps with REKKR's monsters, textures, and weapons.

I decided to go back to Hell Forged proper so I can test out all the new weapons among the quality-of-life improvements made to the level design. Really love the new crossbow! It's a lot of fun! There need to be more shooters with dark gothic fantasy weapons like this.

So I finally learned how to extract the Legacy of Rust wad from my Steam folders for Doom + Doom II. To that end, I chose to play a little bit of it just so I could show off just how cool it is. I fucking LOVE the Incinerator and the Calamity Blade.

So I fell into a trap of my own making. Playing Ashes 2063 for yesterday's update has caused me to succumb to the urge to play through ALL FOUR ASHES 2063 GAMES CURRENTLY RELEASED. So... it'll be a little while before my next episode. See ya in a bit!

It was only a matter of time before I covered this masterpiece. I decided to replay Ashes 2063, because it's an absolutely outstanding total conversion mod. Maybe next time I'll take the weapon and monster packs and toss them into another map pack.

This next combination is Vox Arcana for the gameplay, and Witching Hour for the map pack. This one gives me Dusk vibes. Dusk is made by the guy who made Iron Lung. Dusk is a 12 out of 10 game. GO PLAY DUSK.

What's on the menu for today? More SNES inspired gameplay mods! Combined Arms with DBP 10: Earth Ends. With Combined Arms, I'm using the guy with the flamethrower. Because flamethrowers.

Felt like playing a little Contra today, so I took Contra Doom into Urban Side. This was short, sweet, and fun! Though I underestimated just how powerful the homing shot and spread shot are in this mod. You'll want to either avoid those, or play on a higher difficulty than you usually do.

I love Hell Forged, and have been patiently waiting for the sequel. Unfortunately, it's still not out yet. So I did the next best thing. I made a sequel with mods! I took Hell Forged's weapons and monsters and put them into DBP 29: Morbid Autumn, because it's got very similar vibes.

I've been binging the Aliens and Predator movies lately, so I decided to showcase one of my favorite Alien mods for Doom. ALIENS: ERADICATION may not be the first Alien themed total conversion mod, but it is one of the best. Suspenseful, scary, and not lacking for action.

I'm sorry guys, I know I said I'd post fewer mods about killing Nazis... but killing Nazis is just too much fun. Here's Brutal Wolfenstein, which is ostensibly a full remake of Wolfenstein 3D with updated mechanics, music, and bucket-loads of extra gore. It's good fun.

"Classic" is a broad concept here, because I'm 40 years old and grew up with the NES, SNES and etc... so here are the "classic" games that defined my earliest formative years.

High Noon Drifter gameplay, Kriegsland enemies, and Tetanus for the map pack. Tetanus is heavily inspired by Steam Gardens from Super Mario Odyssey, so it's a lot of fun. Honestly, I don't have much to say about this one. It's a good, fun combination. Try it out sometime!

I made the jump from GZDoom to UZDoom recently, and I've had to redo all of my preferred settings. Mouse sensitivity, keybinds, things like that. I've been using Walpurigs and Hexen to make those changes because... reasons. Also, I really wanted to play as Walpurgis' Druid class again.

Three in a row?! Doom mods are the gift that keeps on giving! After finding the Kriegsland Blutorden mod, I couldn't resist taking it into Legacy of Heroes. I swear, any Wolfenstein gameplay and enemy pack works just perfectly with this map pack. And I had the strongest urge to kill Nazis today.

MERRY DOOMSMAS! I've got a special treat for you today! DBP 78 Ghost Riders of Christmas Past! Nothing added on, because it's brand new, and I wanted to experience it vanilla. It's Christmas in the old west, and the demons are up to their old yule-tide tricks.

Have I mentioned how much I love the Doomer Boards Projects? MERRY APOCALYPSMAS!!! Today, we're combining the Ashes Weapons pack with DBP 55 Jolly Junkyard. Post apocalyptic Christmas is still Christmas. I should do an episode on Ashes 2063 one day, that game was so good.

Merry Quakemas! Today, we're combining Samsara Reincarnation with Stroggman's Tundra, and choosing to play as Bitterman. The Strogg have returned and stole Christmas! Can Bitterman save the day again? Hell the fuck yes, he can.

Let's shake up the Christmas cheer with Star Warsmas, because they had a Holiday Special. Fortunately, this combination of mods is much better than the Holiday Special. Xim's Star Wars mod and the Nostalgic map pack. Playing as a Mandalorian is dope in this mod. 🤘😁👍

Well, how 'bout some Christmas themed mods? Doom is not lacking in those. I could have started with one of the DBP Christmas map sets, but this time, I decided to combine a few different mods. DBP 2 Circle of Caina, Hell's Christmas monsters, and Final Doomer's Whitemare loadout. Merry Doomas!

Let's have us a belated Halloween episode, shall we? What do you get when you combine Doom: Unseen Evil with Doomer Boards Project 77: Economy of the Dead? You get a zombie/demon apocalypse heavily inspired by Doom 64.

I've been playtesting Psychojack88's new Daisy Eternal Companion mod, and the most recent version updates added Strife and Hexen compatibility. And since I love Hexen, I figured I'd take it in with Tempered Arms. It's been a lot of fun helping them refine this mod.

Been a while, hasn't it? I decided it's high-time I resume this marathon of exploring Doom mods. Today, we've got one of my favorite total conversion mods. Abysm 2: Infernal Contract. I'm gonna complete this playthrough before my next mod post. It's a really fun game.

So a friend challenged me to turn Doom into a Roguelike. So, I did! Doom Roguelike Arsenal ( aka DRLA ), DRLA Extended, DRLA Monsters, Corruption Cards, and Universal Damage Numbers. To be honest, I didn't like it all that much. Not a fan of fiddling with my inventory every five minutes.

The Doom Comic 96 mod has reached version 4.0 just yesterday, so I decided to toss it in Maps of Chaos with the Andrew Hulshult Doom 2 soundtrack. Something about this combination just FEELS RIGHT. It's a very "comfy" combination of mods, for lack of a better word.

Finally done with Hell Forged and Eviternity! And I decided to go with Metroid Doom! Yet another total conversion mod with an insane amount of polish to it. Like any good Metroid game, you explore for secret upgrades that help you access new areas!

Little update on my progress with Hell Forged and Eviternity. Eviternity side-tracked me from Hell Forged, but I'm nearing the end of both. For now, enjoy some screenies I took of Eviternity Chapter 6: Hallowed, Map 1 Transcendence.

To give you all a Doom mod update, I really want to finish both Hell Forged and Eviternity before returning to my regular schedule. These are special, and I want to complete them before I go back to experimenting with mod combinations again. Shouldn't take long!

I was going to go with a more complicated combination of mods for Eviternity, but since this is my first playthrough for it, I figured I should go for a slightly more vanilla feel. Final Doomer's Hellbound loadout, Nash Gore, Doomgal, and Helmeter in Eviternity. Gonna finish this and Hell Forged.

Today, I decided to mix things up. Instead of combining a bunch of different mods into one new game, I've decided to play a total conversion mod. This particular TCM is Hell Forged, which is an insanely well-polished fantasy "magic & metal" action adventure game.

This time I combined way too many mods... and it still worked! Final Doomer, Less Frustrating Doom Monsters, Helmeter, Doomgal, Nash Gore, and DBP 38 Chronicles of Ghost Town. Honestly, I wanted a more chill game after all these other much more challenging games I've been making with Doom mods.

I've decided to use fewer Doom mods for today's game. GMOTA and DBP 62 Haunting Hollow. A spooky, medieval fantasy/scifi game heavily inspired by SNES action games. I love GMOTA, all except for the Winged Slime monsters. They replace Pain Elementals, and are WAY WORSE. I hate them so much.

I think I may have gone too edgy with this next combination of mods. Amalgoom, Cyber's Monster Randomizer, Nash Gore, and Genocide Device Echidna. It's fun as hell, but... ow, the edge.

Back to modding Doom until it's unrecognizable, I've combined Xim's Doom 3 Monster pack, Xim's Doom 3 World Texture pack, and Doom 2 The Way iD Did, with Final Doomer's Vendettaguy. The end result is a genuinely spooky looking game with lots of dakka. Now I need to find a spooky music pack...

Today, I've made my very own Jurassic Park! Dino Rampage, Jurassic Jukebox, DBP: Eldritch Voyage, and Final Doomer's Hellboundguy because I really like that gameplay mod.

After finding a Terminator Gameplay mod in the early beta, I decided to combine that with the Terminator Monster Conversion mod and DBP 69: Outposts of the Wasteland. TERMINATOR: OUTPOST OF ATONEMENT. You're playing as a self-aware T-800 turning on its brethren in the aftermath of the war.

So this time, I made a Terminator game via Doom mods. Final Doomer for the gameplay mod ( select Plutoniaguy ), the Terminator Monster Conversion Mod, and DBP 58: Immortal Warfare. You're a soldier fighting off the first waves of Terminators in the war against the machines.

Today, I've decided to make a reverse-horror game, where you play as the hideous monster hunting down all the humans. Hearts of Demons: ARACHNOTRON, DoomLess, DBP 71 Grief Arbiter, and yet again NashGore because HAHA meatbag for brrrrr! I call it "Revenge of the Mutant Brain!"
