Y'know those twin daggers in Mina are pretty good once you get both special moves. It's pretty sick hucking a dagger at some idiot, lunging forward for a slash and then ganking them again as you bounce off them. I didn't expect to get a movement speed increase after tossing it either, which is neat!

You know I was aware you could inspect mirrors in Mina to get a close up of her face, what I didn't realize until just now is you can cycle expressions with the jump button. That's such a fun detail, lol.

Damn, Mina the Hollower is as good as I hoped, 3 hours in and one dungeon down. Been taking my time with this. The Battery Buster is absurdly fun; bashing things up with the mace and then banking shots around corners to pick off long range targets is great.

One last update to this but the error I had previously gotten wasn't even related to the item taking, it was an additional flag on the a_custommissile. At this point I'm pretty sure this is like 100% user error and not an engine thing. I have not been in the right mindset for dev work tonight.

Nevermind to the nevermind: That doesn't work with Zandronum. Meaning that yes: I am indeed going to have to go with the stupid method of giving the monster an item that takes an item from their inventory. Holy shit I feel like I am going to invert.

NEVERMIND. I FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM. Turns out this was a case of needing to fill the flag int with a 0 so the pointer bit actually registers. This is an extremely simple fix but it still leaves me like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jg34... I'm stupid, but so is the engine.

I'm so fucking belligerent about this Doom mod quirk that I have to shout into the void: TL;DR I am trying to make a projectile spawn a monster-clinging actor to do extra stuff over time. It gives monster items but it can't TAKE items. So I have to give them an item that takes items. THAT'S STUPID.

Good god the one missile run is brutal in Zexion. You really feel that absence of firepower. This one took me four hours and 50 minutes, so I got the under 5 hours feat too. (Though I had already gotten that one previously) 112 deaths, this game continues to kick my ass. #zexion

I'm starting to get restless over here. I think this vacation will be over soon, though I'd like to do something actually small for once as a warm up before I dive back into GMOTA. Stay tuned.

Also while it's still fresh on my mind, Angeline Era is a pretty damn fascinating game. Does a great job of capturing that wild and unknown vibe of games from the PSone/N64 era. Bump combat is satisfying, and I like how the gun works. I just wish I could find more of the optional weapons lol.

I think it was a glitch but I was bumping into a bush in Angeline Era and it was spawning one of the exploding bugs, each time it'd spawn a new one, and then my game locked up for like 5 seconds as several hundred of them spawned at once and started exploding, it was awesome.

Lil Gator Game is wonderful. I had played the original release at launch and loved it, and the DLC is effectively a sequel tucked away. Very charming game.
