Getting into my TWaT stride by buying some charity shop records... on a Monday.

Just had Covid jab number 13. I'm not walking under any ladders for six months.

I am now officially a TWaT, as in, I no longer work Mondays and Fridays. I started at the end of March, but I had two weeks off for Easter, so this week is the real start. I spent all day Friday and yesterday gardening, so I've come to work for a paid rest. Early retirement beckons, I hope.

Everything a quid from the Shambles (covered market) in Devizes, except a minty The High (features Box Set Go) a fiver from An Actual Record Shop.

Chazza roundup from last week's campervan test in Somerset. Wells and Devizes both scored. Wells cathedral apparently costs £8,000 per day in maintenance, of which the council must spend 8p on their public toilets - absolutely, shockingly, vile. The cathedral cafe toilets are first-rate though.

Picked up my readers, and had 55 mins left on the parking. Camden Palace LP (features Shirley Ellis' Clapping Song) £5, Vangelis £2 in BHF, everything else 50p. Plain sleeve 7" is Echo Beach. R Williams because we've been learning the Mayfair Quickstep to 'Things', his duet with Jane Horrocks.

Sun was shining and, because of tedious reasons, I have to stay at home all day tomorrow. So I popped into town at lunchtime. Singles from Cancer Research, £1 Shirl comp CD from Dogs Trust.

Went to get my eyes tested (I now need readers as well as for VDU). Had 45 mins left on the parking. Double Shirl £4 in BHF, everything else a quid, sevens 50p, CDs "foive fer a pahnd".

Went to collect daughter from bus station. Collected some chazza records while I was waiting.

The boy got me a couple of records for my birthday, and I had neither of them. I put it down to a combination of beginner's luck and excellent training.

Daughter started a new job yesterday. Communting is via the Guided Busway, which is next to Waitrose, which is next to half a dozen charity shops. This could become an expensive habit. Masterblaster, Wordy Rappinghood, Upside Down, La Vie En Rose, Why - someone liked their disco...

Fonda 500 last night, my first time since summer 2019. Bod must have a wrinkly painting in the attic, as she seems to get younger with every gig. My ears are still ringing this morning.

A quid each. Ernie from Sally Army, ver League from the Volunteer Centre opposite the library - I almost walked past as they normally never have anything.

In late summer I started a massive database mangling project at work. I started listening to the @charityclassics.bsky.social archive, from show 1, in order. After a shaky start it very quickly hit the groove. Today I made it to show 101. Gremlins mean #89 won't play and #100 is absent. Wonderful.

Went out yesterday afternoon for a sash window lock, came home with a tatty Wham 12 and Rear of the Year 1981. Is it just me, or is there not much in the chazza racks at the moment?

Dropped daughter at the station and visited the new Bernado's on - literally - the other side of the tracks. The nipped into town where Cancer Research had just put out some fresh stock.

A tale of two Saints. St. Neots on Saturday for Sudafed, St. Ives yesterday for cheese biscuits we didn't really need. "Well, we've got an hour on the parking, I might as well have a dash round the chazzas while we're here." Mrs F bought a scarf for a quid in BHF. Top left is Rapper's Delight.

Mrs F popped to the shops this morning and came home with three free LPs from the "too shit to sell" rack outside a charity shop. I have created a monster!

Daughter has passed on her germs, so I nipped into town to stock up on Lemsip, and a quick chazza dash, after dropping her off at work. Everything a quid apart from Dave Brubeck (£2), and the bottom row both £3 - Van from BHF and a promo of The Ups and Downs by Stephen 'Tin Tin' Duffy.

Quandary of the day. There's a horrid vinyl warehouse (a cold, damp, industrial unit behind a used car dealer in the wrong end of town, crates on trestle tables and a dodgy geezer behind the counter) where I recently bought a load of 12" singles for a quid a pop, and felt dirty afterwards.

Lunchtime chazza run. There's not much music out there amongst the festive tat.

The most interesting thing I have done for ages was to replace the hard drive in a 15-year-old mini-PC with a SSD and install Windows 11 on it. I’m a modern day Womble.

View from the bed after having my kidney stones lasered this morning. All fine so far but also off my tits on Tramadol. Going home this afternoon.

Last Cromer (and Holt) chazza haul of 2025.

Huntingdon is my nearest market town. It's a rather nice little town centre with half a dozen great charity shops, the fantastic Cromwell museum, and I got married in Hinchingbrooke House (Cromwell's childhood home - here's a picture of it in the sunshine). Not everybody there is a stabby nutter.

Offspring flooded the shower with hair in the drain, so I popped into town at lunchtime for some drain cleaner and some Chazza tat.

The neighbours came round for breakfast.

Hired a campervan. Went to the NEC show. Spent a weekend in the Cotswolds. Bought some chazza tat.I used to spend weeks in Evesham during my Beeb days but it is now a bit of a dump, I am sad to say.

Should I buy this?

I was supposed to spend yesterday in the passenger seat of my elder offspring's pink Fiat 500, practicing the driving test routes of Cambridge. But it was foggy, and she had a sneeze and cough, so I spent it playing tat instead. Coming to a wireless near you soon(ish).

Went to the opticians and had time on the parking for a quick spot of chazzaring. Everything a quid, apart from a minty Eureka, which was free in return for donating three Kenny G albums (and some other tat).

Had to work last Saturday so had a day off in lieu. Went to Cambridgeshire's biggest market town. Bought some chazza tat.

Went to visit the raptors for Mrs F's birthday. Bought some tat in the chazza.
