View from the bed after having my kidney stones lasered this morning. All fine so far but also off my tits on Tramadol. Going home this afternoon.

Last Cromer (and Holt) chazza haul of 2025.

Huntingdon is my nearest market town. It's a rather nice little town centre with half a dozen great charity shops, the fantastic Cromwell museum, and I got married in Hinchingbrooke House (Cromwell's childhood home - here's a picture of it in the sunshine). Not everybody there is a stabby nutter.

Offspring flooded the shower with hair in the drain, so I popped into town at lunchtime for some drain cleaner and some Chazza tat.

The neighbours came round for breakfast.

Hired a campervan. Went to the NEC show. Spent a weekend in the Cotswolds. Bought some chazza tat.I used to spend weeks in Evesham during my Beeb days but it is now a bit of a dump, I am sad to say.

Should I buy this?

I was supposed to spend yesterday in the passenger seat of my elder offspring's pink Fiat 500, practicing the driving test routes of Cambridge. But it was foggy, and she had a sneeze and cough, so I spent it playing tat instead. Coming to a wireless near you soon(ish).

Went to the opticians and had time on the parking for a quick spot of chazzaring. Everything a quid, apart from a minty Eureka, which was free in return for donating three Kenny G albums (and some other tat).

Had to work last Saturday so had a day off in lieu. Went to Cambridgeshire's biggest market town. Bought some chazza tat.

Went to visit the raptors for Mrs F's birthday. Bought some tat in the chazza.

Your 13 hour tat warning

I have become that bloke - there's one in every community - to ring up on a Sunday morning and ask "I have a box of old records in the garage, would you like a look before I take them to the charity shop?" #LifeGoals

Went to Wrentham to check out a campervan site. Only 10 mins from Beccles, so went back on the off-chance that The A Shop (Autism East Anglia) was open, which it was. Think: a record shop run by a chazza, and full of tat. Hurrah! Everything a quid or two apart from a minty Isleys for a fiver.

CDs a quid each. Natalie includes the DVD. I've seen Cicero Buck (the artists formerly known as The Lover Speaks, as covered by Annie) twice, most recently with yet another name, in April at a RSD garden party.

Bounty from the chazzas of Beccles. Dionne and Inner City 12" £2 each, minty South Pacific and Three Degrees a quid.

Went to Aldeburgh and nearly bought Kim Wilde's debut on LP in Sue Ryder. But no inner sleeve, shabby vinyl, and five quid. Got this in Break for £1.10 - a lot for a CD single but contains my favourite Nat song, Something Better, written by my tall chum.

The chazzas of Southwold raided. Two K-Tel compo LPs from Break £1.50 each, 50p CDs from St Elizabeth Hospice, Beany-fied Sunday newspaper CDs 25p a pop. Two CDs of Aretha for 25p!

Heading to Southwold next week with Mrs F, with car and without offsprings. We both like chazzas, she likes jigsaws and I like records. To where should we day trip?

Always read the small print. The you-can-buy-this-from-a-petrol-staion-forecort cover art should have set alarm bells ringing. Oh well, only 33p wasted.

Some close-ups of that Thelma Houston direct to disc LP for the format nerds amongst you (hello, Andy!) The only other one I can think of is Emily Barker's Coffee EP from 2013, which doesn't even have a Discogs entry.

Another weekend spent hoovering up the slightly depleted chazza stocks of the north Norfolk coast. LPs a quid or two, 7s 50p, CDs either 50p, £1 or 3 for a quid. Thelma Houston (Sheffield Labs direct-to-disk audiophile delight) and Now 1 both a tenner each from an actual record shop.

Judging by what has been flying over my house for the past couple of days, the Duxford IWM show is going to be good. These were looping the loop yesterday, and Sally B the Flying Fortress just flew over while I was pegging the washing out.

Turns out I have kidney stones, a(nother) side effect of Crohn's. Having them lasered in November. I have two large plastic flaggons to collect "every drop" of wee for 48 hours. I started at 6am yesterday and filled the first one up before bedtime. 12 noon and the second is already half full.

Colonoscopy number five, the song Prez Prado never wrote. It doesn't scan, for a start...

Had to pop into local town because my watch strap needed replacement. Dropped off a bag of vinyl at one chazza, filled up the bag again at the others. Almost everything a quid except for Black.

The Dawn Chorus made my favourite album of 2008. Over the next 4 years I put them on, and the did the sound, in Cambridge pubs 5 or 6 times. I put on their penultimate gig in 2012.

This month's Cromer chazza haul. Slim pickings as donations of disco & Motown sevens seem to have dried up.

I have a handful of warped records. I added half a dozen more at the weekend (Now! doubles, high-teens) from a sweltering Cancer Research shop. I have a warm airing cupboard, should I give the granite sandwich a go? There's also a tempered glass option at £8.99 each.

Dropped daughter off at the station yesterday morning (she went to Pride in That London) at around shop opening time. So I popped into town for a quick bit of chazzaring. A couple were slightly over my self-imposed price limit but on my wantlist.

We're a cultural mix here in South Cambs. There's a Cambridge University accademic over the road. A quiet chap, a few years older than me, dresses like he's presenting a 1970s Open University show, has an allotment, sometimes comes down the cafe to hear me play records.
