#SFFChat 2 Setting broadly determines themes. A book set on a spaceship might play with ideas of personal space, in a forest on themes of bounty/scarcity Setting directly defines resources characters have (Magic? Lasers? Cell phones?) As well as threats (cops? The inquisition? RED LASERS?!)
