Don't know why, but this guy looks angry, doesn't it? I dont usually focus much on these guys when I find them, because usually they all look the same, at least the onws i have encountered, but this one looked nice and was prety chill so i decided to go for a stack. Turned out nicely!

First picture during my stay in Canada. Last week was very cold for May, so I was not really expecting to see lots of bugs, but since it was cold, this bee was pretty calm. So, I did manage to make a decent stack for a few shots. And it was in a cool position and covered in pollen, which is nice :)

I havent posted in a while, but here is a nice click-beetle for you. I like these beetles because they can jump quite high qhen threatened, and while doing so, they makenthe chatacteristic noise (click) that gives them the name of click-beetles.

This is a very nice beetle :) I found it while looking for bugs at night. I particularly like the big eyes in the "small" head. It looks quite nice. I uploaded the picture to iNaturalist, and the suggested ID is tribe Statirina, so any other ID is welcomed :) Have a wonderful day, y'all.

A baby mantis I found recently, it was rather small. The second picture shows it in my pinky finger for scale :) When I find "baby" bugs, I always imagine what kind of adventures lay ahead of them. Must be a tough world full of dangers and excitement. It's probably worth a fiction novel. #insects

A cool tony parasitoid wasp on top of what I think is a spiders eggsack. I never paid attention to wasps until a few years ago because I was used to only seeing the big boring ones, but once you start looking at parasitoids, the whole thing changes. They are super interesting. #hymenoptera

Lace bugs are so cool-looking small creatures. They belong to the family Tingidae, and the common name comes from the intricate design of the wings, as you can see. Although not all species of lace bugs are pests, some species can affect various types of trees and crops of human consumption. #macro

A very lovely and tiny jumping spider. This little one was jumping around in the grass close to the ground, making it difficult for me to get close enough. Suddenly, it jumped and trapped a prey and stood still logs enough for me to take a few shots. The spider was around 3 millimeters in length.

This is a Bold jumping spider, or Phidippus audax, it is one of the most commonly occurring spider species within its range. Also, one of the biggest jumpers in north America. One of the coolest festures is the birght iridescent chelicerae, as seen in the first picture :) #jumpingspider #macro

I like tortoise beetles a lot, I think they are very cool looking bugs. Plus, they can change coloration when under stress, and they come in sizes. I always enjoy finding one on the field. Have a good one, y'all.

I saw this gorgeous lepidopteran yesterday. It was perfectly blending with the leaf, but the white margin around it gave it away. It was a rather small moth, about 2 centimeters from tip to tip. I thought about a stack of the head and antennae, but as soon as I took this picture, it flew away.

I love taking pictures of spiders at night, when they are active hunting and looking for mates and all. Its also fairly easy to spot them if you have a good light source, like a head lamp or a flash light. Have a lovely #spidersaturday, y'all.

Another shot of these goegeous wasps. I love the hind legs, with all the thickness and spines, makes them look very cool haha. The lifestyle of wasps is very interesting, they are highly diverse and very much unknown, so theres always new facts and species to learn about. Have a lovely day y'all.

It was a tiny lace-wing I found the other day. Those guys are very cool. People often only know the common green on, but they are a rather diverse group in sizes and colors. I wish I had a better picture of this one, but it flew away right after I took this picture. Still, it looks cool.

A nice juvenile mantis. This guy was very relaxed for a couple of minutes, and then it jumped to the ground, and I was not able to find it again, haha. Despite that, it was a nice encounter. I have no idea about the ID, but iNaturalist suggests Melliera sp. Have a lovely Monday, y'all.

I found this tiny parasitoid wasp (#Conura sp) on a branch early morning, it was wet from the morning dew and it was using the hind legs to dry the wings, I felt sorry for the little one. Here, you can clearly see the shape of the abdomen and the right posterior femur that is enlarged. #parasitoid

Tortoise beetles are so cool looking bugs. I love the fact that they have a "ttansparent" cuticle. You can see through it, and you can even see the eyes and legs on the second picture. Very interesting. Have a good one y'all

I usually go for pictures where the bug is closer, because I like to observe the details of the bugs, but this tiny ant was carrying a (relatively) massive insect leg and it was fun to see the dimensions of it. #macro #insects #ants

This tree hopper was very nice, I managed to take a couple of pictures and while I was at it, the little one decided to jump away. I almost got a nice take-ofd picture but thw wings are not entierly in focus (swcons pic). However, in the second you can see its abdomen and its quite cool. #macro

I have a bunch of pictures of tiny tiny wasps. They are very cool and they come in alm sorts of shapes and colors, but they are very hard to photograph, mainly because of their size, but also because they move around a lot haha. #macro #hymenoptera #insects #parasitoids

This is a very cool bug. It's a Chrysopidae (lacewing) larvae. They are voracious predators, which is why they are often used as pest control agents. Many species during the larval stages use debris as a way of hiding and blending in.
