when some people say that Flowers is supposedly "low stakes", i don't believe they really understand what "stakes" are. the intensity of stakes is relative to and reflective of progression of a specific story, not to and of some kind of universal standard or even reality.

to explain a bit more why do i believe those lines got removed by accident? bcs all of those cases have one thing in common: JP script line #8: brand new line line #9: brand new line EN script line #8: brand new line line #9: an exact copy of line #8 yes, it's an editing and/or QC oversight

last year i've started working on a tiny "restoration patch" for Printemps. it reinstates nine or maybe ten lines that got accidentally removed from the EN script, corrects a couple mistranslated words/lines related to the flower language, and makes a certain other tweak.

today's menu: yuri shimp the funny thing abt this scene in JP script is that it's built on wordplay during which each girl wrongly assumes that the other uses the same word, but those are homophones. one is「養殖」for "aquafarm", the other is「洋食」for "Western food", both are pronounced "yōshoku"
