Long story short, Spectrum has finally stopped throttling me down to 3 Mbps. Maybe now I can stream again and show off my new XLR mic setup!

It’s been a week since I was banished to the land of low bandwidth internet… I keep getting messages from my friends asking me when I’ll continue Silent Hill 2 (or literally any other game I’ve left half finished), but without enough bits in my rate, things were looking grim.

Won't be streaming for a while... Spectrum just handed me that L on a silver platter and my upload speed's down to a consistent 3 Mbps... 😞

I have a dilemma. I want to have a human Live2D model because it opens up a lot of possibilities, but having a cube for my model makes sense because it aligns with my username. (No, I’m not changing my username. I’ve had it for over a decade.)

After doing some stream tests, I have decided that 1440p is not a viable option to support for streams. I’ll be sticking with 1080p60 maximum. Hopefully when AV1 rolls out, I’ll be able to try again and see if it’ll consume less bandwidth. But right now, not even HEVC will save me.
