I am glad I don’t do anything during ads because it now seems Twitch putting a break window even if no ads are playing. (I assume because ads are localized some places don’t do a lot of them or where there is no HQ they cannot play ads in those counties … to push Turbo even more)

The final day of streaming is finished. Now I lay in bed sad that I will be away for a bit, but happy to come back better than ever! SUBTumby will be great this year!!!

Honestly I am enjoying just taking time off on Saturday so leaning more to go into long Sunday streams instead of trying to make late night Saturday streams work.

So last stream day for a while is on August 10th. 1 AM Eastern and 9 PM Eastern time zones. I will be back in September when the SUBtember begins and I can do SUBtumby. Many rewards based around food and growth to be expected. Details dropping September 1st when we get more Twitch confirmations.

A bit why I need a break. Being a late-night streamer, I get a lot of inactive viewers and my view count been counted as half lately. It is getting to me mentally. ... So going to try to take a break and maybe stream at a time when more people are active? I have to think about it.

Yes please ... we cannot control the ads. Report ads you don't like ... and complain at Twitch. Us Twitch Partners and Twitch Affiliates cannot do anything about it. You think a website full of artists would promote AI emotes? Most been vocal against it.

Reminder, Twitch (and other platforms) don't allow creators to control what ads are run on their streams, videos/VODs, podcasts, etc. PLEASE don't instantly assume we want this. We're very likely just as pissed off (if not more) than you are about this. Help us yell at the platform instead.

After talks with other content creators … I am just gonna assume active viewer count is being worked on and will have issues, this is not a new thing I noticed either. I think a lot of the bot scare is Dan Clancy accusing smaller channels of botting so it is false equivalency happening again.

OK I decided to unquote the OG post because some things were true in it (the comment about Twitch not counting some people) … but the rest was speculation. So this run I had an average of 5 but the record shows around 10. So it was not counting at least 40% of my lurkers. Why does it matter?

I do appreciate that my 5 viewer count thing the past 2 weeks is because Twitch not counting lurkers. Luckily I had only 50% of viewers not getting counted … but I had this issue randomly. Streamer Bot would only count active chatters when I looked at my user list as well. So it is an API issue.

Alright, finally feeling normal: I apologize for letting the stress and anger about things falling apart IRL affect the streams. I do suspect Twitch's new viewer policies punishes lurkers ... so I am going to test it this weekend. The low count did not help I will admit! Going to keep going on!!!
