Earlier this week I spoke at the Movers & Shakers Real Estate forum on the next phase of UK regeneration. King's Cross, the Olympic Park/East Bank and Battersea/Nine Elms showcase London’s world class expertise in transformative regeneration of urban places.

Good to visit @london-fire.bsky.social's zero emission pumping appliance earlier this week, which is the first of its kind in the UK. Having now attended over 600 incidents, it's a clear example of the efforts being made across public services in London towards achieving net zero.

Today @mayoroflondon.bsky.social and the Secretary of State for Housing announced the final package of support to unlock housebuilding in London which is aimed at improving the viability of housing development across the capital.

Pleased to appear before the Fire Committee yesterday alongside @london-fire.bsky.social Commissioner. We discussed the progress the LFB is making to modernise the service, to respond to the evolving risks we face, and to continue protecting Londoners.

Today we launched the London Infrastructure Framework. Jointly developed by @mayoroflondon.bsky.social and @londoncouncils.bsky.social, and developed around a shared vision for our city’s future, the LIF sets out the priority projects needed to unlock London’s growth in the long term.

It was great to speak at a roundtable organised by Montagu Evans LLP yesterday, where I set out @mayoroflondon.bsky.social's priorities for 2026. These include kickstarting housing delivery; developing a draft London Plan; and getting the Oxford Street transformation scheme on a firm footing.

Today, one of the two tunnel boring machines that will construct the tunnel from Old Oak Common to Euston was launched, bringing the completion of HS2 one step closer.

Tackling London's housing crisis is a priority for @mayoroflondon.bsky.social and the Accelerating Housing Delivery Practice Note published today is the latest step from the Mayor to bring forward measures to unlock housing delivery in response to challenging economic headwinds.
