7 years ago today, CRIPPLED was published. This morning, a lecturer emailed me to say a student had written their dissertation inspired by it. I’m continually blown away by the impact this book has had and so grateful for how readers have responded - and are still discovering it.

Gutted that Shelflife is going, the first two images are from their Instagram account announcement. This year they've been the place we've gotten all the bookclub books from. I've just picked up what's likely to be our last order (for a while at least) and that sucks.

The year roadmap, its design, started at the idea of the first 4 years of the bookclub remade as 3d models. At the time it was too complex a process and the idea of overall minimalism resulted in some OK and dreadful designs from the originals. It did, however, form the kernel of a good idea...
