Something that always fascinates me is music artists who have massive commercial success, then "disappear" but actually continue making music. And I went down a bit of a rabbit hole tonight about exactly one such band, The Ting Tings. See here's the thing, I fucking love The Ting Tings.

Finished The Outer Worlds 2 today and I have to say, I was quite impressed with the game's ending. Even if I didn't make all the "right" choices along the way, it still managed to end on a satisfying, even poetic note. Obsidian did a good job with this one.

Didn't stream yesterday because I inadvertently spent the entire day in this nonsense.

I already have thoughts on Metroid Prime 4, but I owe it to the game to play more than 5 hours before I commit to any of them. Suffice it to say I see a lot of elements that have the potential to develop into real strengths, and how good of a game it is largely depends on whether or not they do.

First time hosting Thanksgiving at our house was a pretty good success, if I do say so myself. Main thing I'd like to work on next time is timing, to make sure everything is still hot at the same time. But everything tasted good so I'm not mad.

Since I've already been commenting about it, I might as well make my own little thread of thoughts. I saw Wicked: For Good this weekend and, well... I will say I liked it. But it's hard not to feel more than a little underwhelmed when compared to the first film. Obvious caution: spoilers below:

Recently I've been going against Houndmaster in DBD much more often than before. I'd say, anecdotally with only myself as a data point, both Houndmaster and Vecna are up in usage, and Dracula and Ghoul are down. Dunno if anyone else.

Welp, that's a wrap on Pokémon Legends: Z-A streams. We beat the game, caught the legendaries, and had a great time. After finishing the game, I'm standing by basically everything I wrote at this midpoint, with a few adjustments. The game length is perfect, basically as big as HK with DLC content and this is just the base for Silksong. Runbacks are too long and unnecessary.

Chick-fil-a launching a vending machine that shuts off on Sundays sounds like an article by The Onion and yet... here we are. Reality has become a parody of itself.

We went to go see Some Like It Hot on stage last night, and it was a rollicking, joyful good time. The original is one of my favorite old movies, and it was wonderful to see the queer subtext from the film built out into a full storyline here. An absolute joy.

I sorta feel like if Sucker Punch wants to keep with the "Ghost of" series after Yotei, their next game should be a radical shift. Like... Ghost of Tokyo set in the recent past, all in the city. I love Ghost of Yotei, but I don't know if we need another samurai/feudal-era game in the series.

I don't think I've ever experienced such a massive discrepancy with a game between what the online consensus seems to say and my own experience as I did with Phasmophobia tonight. I couldn't make it 2 hours without wishing I was doing literally anything else. 😬
