It's now a week since I've bought Ricoh GR III. I've already started thinking about selling my X-T4, since GRIII is so light and I can have it always with me (X-T4 with for example 16-55 is around 1.5kg...). Definitely been sitting too long on this purchase. GR IVx will be next. #GRIII converted.

Place (Ochiai Village) you should know well if you had read "Forgotten Japan" by Alex Kerr. Shame that sun was going down and I skipped visit to see Chiiori. Maybe next year...

My whole idea of exploring Japan was always simple - as far away from big population centers as possible. Here, road that leads to Ochiai Village from side of Mount Tsurugi. It was a hellish day in the saddle, but creating memories is worth any pain.

03.05.2023 / People on their way to the beach, where during Hamamatsu matsuri you can see giant "kite battles". #shizuoka #japan #hamamatsumatsuri I wish I wasn't in a rush that day (Shikoku was calling me) and actually went and see these battles... Shame on me.

Town of Heda (Izu). I was cursing myself for not checking elevation profile of the shore when leaving Hakone in the morning. Shore was littered with short yet punchy climbs up to 20%. Legs were burning, but I was happy - simplicity of cycling from point A to point B.
