I had to laugh tonight. I was making dinner and had stopped the TV on the pre intro for Nichole Wallace's show and it was freeze framed on Alex Witt and Emily Bazelon, who both happened to look like I felt. This last week was a hell of a decade! Poor, poor, pitiful us! Portrait of Anguish!

For some strange reason, I craved a Caprase sandwich tonight. Had all the ingredients but the fresh basil so Alex went out just for the basil and some balsamic vinegar for the reduction.

This may be about it for the canna lilies. They did pretty well despite the drought this year. They will get dug up and the corms stored over winter before the first frost.
