Today I went to Wenatchee, the heart of apple, pear, and cherry country, to discuss the challenges facing the tree fruit industry. I'm grateful for the hard work and innovation of our farmers and growers that make our agriculture among the best in the world.

I feel like I’ve done a lot but also nothing as the same time. I went through my closet and pulled stuff out to give to the sanitation station. And for stuff that needed a little refreshing did some laundry. Then I cleaned the washing machine. Also did some grocery shopping.

Did a fun short staycation last night. I went to see Aly and AJ at the Paramount and rather than taking the train back decided to spent the night. Really enjoyed the Grand Hyatt. Will be back for ECCC.

Yesterday was my supervisor’s last day. They eliminated her position and created a new manager role to supervise 3 teams. Today was my first day with my new supervisor. I am cautiously optimistic. I really liked my last supervisor. They were calling our team version 3.0 and I said for me it’s 4.0

So far the only side effect I have from my vaccine yesterday is a very sore arm. But to be fair I still had a bruise from when I got a flu shot.

After I got my Covid booster I wanted to get breakfast. On our way to get breakfast I noticed a new restaurant called Spaghetti R Us. I’m intrigued and might need to check it out.

Had a great night at Oogie Boogie Bash. Some highlights include seeing Romeo guiding the headless horseman. Seeing Oogie Boogie. I also rode Guardians Mission Break out, which means I must have had a lapse in judgment. I kid you not on that first drop my entire body lifted up and my bag as well.

Had lamplight lounge for dinner tonight. I got the seasonal roasted squash Panzanella salad. I learned that I don’t know the difference between a roasted squash and a persimmon. But I really loved it.

Finished my 3rd RunDisney 5K, at least in person. My time was even better today! We started 15 mins after the official start time of 5:00AM and I was finished by 6:30 AM. I crossed the finish line at 1hr 20 mins, but if you take off the 15 mins for when D started, I did 1hr 5 mins.

I watched a little more than half of Moulin Rouge on my flight down to San Francisco this morning. It’s the most unhinged musical I’ve ever seen. Seeing Jim Broadbent sing Like a Virgin was chef’s kiss. I should have watched it sooner. Planning on finishing it on the next leg down to Orange County.

It’s National Dog Day. Robin is an almost 13 year old Chihuahua-Terrier that I brought home to replace me. I thought my mom would be lonely when I moved to Hawaii for University. #NationalDogDay

Some days I wonder what it would be like to be freaky Friday with my dog. All she does is sleep and beg for people food. Then I wonder what would she think about riding the bus and going to work. But do freaky Friday rules apply to animals 🤯😳

Decided to teach Robin to drive. She has the correct placement of her paws, but she can’t quite hit the gas and breaks.

Decided to watch all the Final Destination movies. I guess backwards, because it started with me watching Bloodlines and then going back to watch 2-5.

Today I felt so hungry I started getting angry. So I abruptly got up and told the two other people I was going to get oatmeal before I loose my shit. I don’t know what has happened but I’ve been so hungry today and I forgot to refill my snacks. Fingers crossed I’m finally getting my growth spurt.

Finally watched Final Destination: Bloodlines. It was actually really good.

Was looking at my up and coming trips. They are all to Santa Ana 😂. Then it’s too early to book for next August but it will be my bi annual trip to Pasadena.

When you think about it coffee comes from berries, therefore I guess coffee can be considered a juice then you have to extract the bean and roast it before consuming. I guess one of my favorite juices is coffee. Today I’m having a dark chocolate mocha juice.

My mid-year review went great was rated exceeds down the board. It also lasted longer than scheduled, which is good because I was able to give not just my supervisor insight into what I’ve been noticing but also her supervisor. Plus I have been advocating for us to have a work retreat.
