Today was a Tim Burton day for me. I visited his exhibition and watched two of his movies. In the past, I wasn’t fully appreciating how valuable it is to spend my time engaging with things that inspire my creativity—things beyond my usual work or research projects. Now I feel totally different.

I was unhappy that I couldn’t read the book "Designing Data-Intensive Applications" regularly. A friend of mine mentioned that he listened to it as an audiobook, so I decided to try that too. Suddenly, I found that I had a motivation to follow the book while listening. This is my new morning routine

Literal app surpasses Goodreads in several aspects. It diligently addresses numerous straightforward improvements, steadily implementing them one by one. In contrast, Goodreads seemed unconcerned about the app's stability, making Literal's approach all the more satisfying.

So far I like Bluesky better than Threads app. 🤍

Spent a Xmas w/ a Brazilian friend and her family in 🇧🇷. In dinner table, when I mentioned “Ai Se Eu Te Pego,” the table fell silent due to the meaning of the son. Later they explained it. Now, I can’t listen to the song without feeling a tinge of awkwardness. 😂
