Thanks to all the support of our wonderful players, the Welsh Open raised £1,400 for charity this weekend, with funds going to Children's Cancer and Leukemia. We are so grateful to everyone for contributing their hard-earned funds for such a worthy cause!

First on the roster, the Welsh Spoon award (with an engraved hand-carved Welsh love spoon as the prize) went to Liam Winch! 🥄

A favourite for those that have attended Blackout previously, and an award that resonates with us well in Wales, the Caledor Memorial Award (for best dragon) went to Tom Matthews with his gorgeous blood-soaked Vhordrai!

Cleanest Gamer(s) tied at 4/5 votes each for Glen Chalk and Dominik de Cassan! A fantastic achievement for both getting that many votes. Glen took home the custom WarVault, provided Pro Painted Studios. We'll be passing a trophy to Dominik as he was the highest placed player.

The player-voted "Well Tidy" Award (overall best army across all measures) went to Tony Kirby with his SEAHAUNT! 👻 You can tell that Tony has put so much time into these conversions and the display board - was a joy to see it on the table.

Flying in all the way from Germany to take out the event, all while being a great human being and winning Cleanest Gamer, was Dominik de Cassan with Disciples of Tzeentch!

In second place, with Cities of Sigmar, was Alex Bruce!

In third place, with Cities of Sigmar, was Peter Twigg!

Aaron's favourite award, Da Valleyz Boss (best destruction outside of the podium), went to Mike Chadderton on Kruelboyz!

Mortarch of Wales (best death outside of the podium) went to Matthew Gouldesbrough with Ossiarch Bonereapers!

Daemon Prince of Wales (best chaos outside of the podium) went to Krzysztof Zylawy running Blades of Khorne!

On to gaming, Pendragon's Champion (best order outside of podium) went to Josh Cann on Cities of Sigmar!

Crimson Brush (TO-judged technical painting) Champion was Jon Cann (paint), with his strikingly beautiful Ogroid-themed Slaves to Darkness army!

Crimson Brush (TO-judged technical painting) runner-up was Mo Ashraf with his stunning Seraphon!

Crimson Brush (TO-judged technical painting) 3rd place was Neill Caughey with his very imaginative goblin-themed Slaves to Darkness army!

That's a wrap on the Welsh Open! Congratulations and thanks to all the players - you are truly what makes these events special. It was so good to see so many happy people in one place, and makes all of the hard work worthwhile. Awards and winners will be posted up tomorrow.

Fantastic weekend was had at @aoswelshopen.bsky.social I'm over the moon to have taken home joint cleanest player along with the event winner. Gromm was hit and miss, slaying a mighty carnasuar. Vordrai however was a cowardly vampire, he ran away to the other end of the table from the heroic dwarf.

What a weekend at the justice series teams in Bristol. I went 2-3 with Troggs and the team took home 2nd place with a 4-1. Thanks to @justplayritchie.bsky.social for a great event.

After 2 years captaining Team Wales, Dan Arnold has decided to step down. Dan will still be a part of the Team but we will announce the new captain later this week. We want to thank Dan for all his hard work, the last 2 years have been a complete joy from a gaming and social perspective

My Warhammer wrapped Played in 6x2 day events including 1st team event with an overall record of 14-11 Played sce, soulblight, gits and KO Got my first 4-1 2 best sports awards Painted a troll army in 2 days. The best bit? catching up with friends, making new ones, and having a blast along the way!

So, er total war Warhammer 3, I love it, there is something satisfying about running around as Grombrindal beating up elves.....

Haven't played a pc game in ages, so I thought i would give total war warhammer 3 a go. Any tips or advice?

Not sure painting 113 models for a new cities army is a great idea, but a base coat and streaking grime and I think we have a process, quick and dirty but looks great in my opinion. Thanks to @sixdiceskills.bsky.social for his streams on how to do this, a painting trend setter indeed.

What a weekend at Devon Destruction, the slayers had an amazing weekend. The club took out best painted, best sports and 3rd in painting for @warpaintworkshop.bsky.social The club had 7 in the top 13 places including a 5-0 and 5 4-1's. Thanks to everyone we played, or spoken to, you are all angels.

I need to decide what to take to Devon Destruction, Im not feeling the stormcast,so I may end up taking a Gitz highlander. First step, does it look good as an army? In my opinion it looks so much fun. I also printed custom morbid spell lore, squugtide,mealshroom, trollsnare shackles and purple moon.
