I am trying to research how Mythical Pokemon have been made available over the years for a page on the Psylab. This is how I remember Mew being introduced to the American public, in the November 1998 issue of Nintendo Power/issue 4 of their 6-part Pokemon Power insert.

My favorite thing about early official guides is how they just kind of blunder through quantifying base stats for each Pokemon based on nothing but vibes.

Chingling was freed from TCC jail and will appear in the newest set! Quilladin is the new Pokemon that has gone the longest without getting cards after Gen 9's TCG removed Kadabra, Budew and Chingling from that title. Z-A being in Kalos means it probably won't keep that title long, Primarina......

The Tech Dex descriptions are completed. But to update Fling and Natural Gift fully, we need item information, and well...... this is a lot of items!!

Thankfully nearing the end of Tech Dex description research. Just these moves left, and another a second pass through everything to add links to the new sections we've added on the status page (protection moves, and semi-invulnerable and in the ground/air states).

Updating and rewriting Tech Dex descriptions is taking a lot more time and research than expected! At least a lot of mistakes for older moves/Generations have been corrected. Working through Gen 7's new moves currently. If descriptions are wrong for moves on this list, we still need to get to it lol

We do read the comments! The IV calculator has been updated so that you can select the game you're playing (because Pokemon base stats have changed across generations, and this has caused some confusion about the calculator being wrong).

Spent this weekend working on reference guides for all the newer games, e.g. Gyms/Elites, version exclusives, TM/TR lists, etc. ORAS, SM, USUM, LGPE, SWSH, BDSP, PLA and SV information will slowly start showing up on the main site. But it is a lot to catch up on!

Now that the Psydex and a lot of the Psylab are up to date, we're going to try to update some of the game-specific pages. All of the Gym Leader and Elite Four guides from RBY to ORAS have been expanded to list each Pokemon's movesets. www.psypokes.com/oras/gymelit...

Today in the Psylab, our Breeding Guide has been updated to incorporate all of the changes to egg groups, breeding inheritance, and daycares since Generation 4.

Our Amnesia Attack for all 1025 Pokemon was recently redesigned to fit more of the long list onscreen - how many can you name?

And then there's Confusion, a move that neither Wizards of the Coast nor TPCi ever managed to translate correctly (usually it is some variation of "Psy Bolt" in English).

Fissure only appeared in one English card as a mistranslation, and Bone Club only appeared on a Japanese-only card. Substitute only appeared as a Trainer card, Barrage (Eggsplosion) and Transform only appeared as variations, and Mist, Kinesis and Softboiled only appeared as Abilities.

Of all the attacks from Generation 1, only three have never appeared in the TCG in any way: Acid Armor, Haze, and Struggle.

Of all the Gen 1 Pokemon that are, or at one time were, fully evolved, there is only one who has never received a holo in the TCG...
