I do not accept the lower standard. I want a President who has dignity. Who has decency. Who isn't owned by tech execs and billionaires. I want to be represented by someone with a conscience and honesty and integrity. I don't care about sides or parties, I just want someone good.

If there was an independent 'Office of Accountability' that didn't report to the President, but was in charge of publishing transcripts of EVERY Oval Office meeting within 24 hours, we'd have a lot less pay to play in our government.

If states were to elect 'at-large' representatives, instead of per-district, then gerrymandering would no longer be a thing, and Congress would look a lot more like the American population.

If ALL the states had their presidential primaries on the same day, then candidates would have to appeal to a broad spectrum of American people, not just the farmers in Iowa or New Hampshire.

Yikes.

We're now 74 days into a war with Iran. Fully TWO WEEKS past the final deadline for the President to make a case before Congress, and get their approval; he hasn't even given it lip service. None of this is surprising. What gets me is how Congress is ok with that level of contempt from him.

It's like every day is a new chapter in a book entitled, "What's the worst thing a President can say out loud?"

Trump is floating the idea to 'Pause' the federal gas tax $0.18 per gallon. Gas has gone from $3.67 to $5.76 per gallon in my state since January 1st. Eighteen frickin cents isn't going to do much. But Trump doesn't care; he's a billionaire, and he doesn't buy gas anyway.
