My new sporty coat has been so useful for all my Olympic watching.

I think I look like a mannequin here. Not pictured are the red tights with pink socks which is a bit too much but today I feel a bit too much so maybe dressing a bit too much is the continuation of cosplay (which like Harvester and Harry Styles - I don’t understand, though I want to)

Made up some spectacular outfits today (work avoidance) which unfortunately do not suit either my lifestyle (finishing the PhD, eating toasties, crying) or the weather. Nothing suits this weather. Especially my tutu bolero which fits under NOTHING.

Sport, as in walk to get a matcha with lots of syrup.

Pink Adidas coat for all the sport I do (🙄) and a Prada vest which is silk and cashmere and so beautiful on it makes me love a charity shop even more than I already did. It fits like a VERY expensive vest should.

I went to The Harvester for the FIRST TIME (ever) today and the person serving me looked like I was ridiculous when I said, how does the salad bar work?

After a busy morning shopping with my friends, I recovered myself by watching The Antiques Roadshow, and now a having a v strong coffee before the Olympics.

Why am I so faddy? I never liked a necklace until last year. Maybe it is the getting old? Maybe it is just the fun of it?

Four ways to wear the waistcoat. In the last look it looks great as it is hidden.

After a bit of a cry yesterday, and with the support of a brilliant PhD supervisory team, I am now feeling more positive. This also happened without any charity shop intervention. Which is unbelievable.

My little wool waistcoat fits under a little coat, just as a little pot of M&S olives fits into my handbag.

Gift to self: just spent 15 minutes listening to Roxette.

I get an email from TOAST advertising transitional knitwear. Err, is my horrid woolly knit waistcoat not the best example of this?

I loved this book, which shows the power of trade unions and the beauty in letter writing. Absolutely gorgeous.

Every time I wear an awful outfit, by tea time I suddenly really like the awful outfit.

Then I found more. It appears I have written quite a lot so far, as well as do a lot of charity shop shopping.

Note to self: do not lay out all your work on floor and expect it, or the paperclips, to stay in any order with a kitten in the house.

Have yet to find ANYTHING that this waistcoat goes with.

How to ruin a nice outfit. Wearing a Burberry jumper with Ralph Lauren top and a red Carolina Herrera skirt, then too cold so threw on the 70s waistcoat.

Just unearthed about 50 poems I had written for my PhD and forgotten about.

Really enjoyed The Sleepers study day at the Women’s Art Collection. It introduced me to some amazing people, including Akshi Singh. So excited to read this.
