I've started seeing suggested reels on IG with this feature, and it's something. It replaces the original audio with an AI simulation of the same voice speaking the new language. And it changes the video of their lips so they match the translated language. Technologically neat, dystopian unease.

The Muppet Show reboot is SOFA KING GOOD. It just feels so right. Updated, but still exactly the same. As if it never went off the air, kept the format, but the artists/music kept changing with the times. Between this and the MST3K news, this has been an exceptional week for TV nostalgia nerds.

The local Facebook groups are full of people who are stuck at iced-in mountain cabin rentals all throughout the Smokies, all of them needing supplies and such. And meanwhile, I get an Airbnb email suggesting I book a nearby getaway (suggesting various mountain cabins)
