Last night was the crampiest night, although my inside shoulder blade and down my left arm wasn’t hurt enough, having to share a bed with Eva and our youngest who likes to sleep sideways was the nail in its coffin! The motel was kind enough to find a mattress strapped to a dollie for our oldest.

We make it to the room, they tell me that no the room I upgraded to was not booked, thank you booking dot com! We have the king room only, no pull out couch! To upgrade we need for the room with a pull out couch is $140 more! 😢

When it rains, it pours, literally! Going to storage to get the kids winter coats/rain coats, I thought it would be a brilliant to wear flip flops because we are just taking the kids to school. Well as Eva was putting in the code for the door, I had not one but both feet go out from under me….

So much for the 48 hour respite. It’s my son’s birthday and my wife’s FMLA check didn’t come in so I have two hours to come up with $150.00 to keep our room (by 1100 hours PST)and another 50 to get his birthday cake (by 1330 hours PST)and dinner by 1600hours. Was assured that check would be there!😵
