Due to today’s snow, we unfortunately have to cancel the Term Two Vision event announcing the Cleveland ERA. While we’re excited to share our plans for our great city, the safety of our residents comes first during this winter weather.

As a result of the anticipated temperatures this week, the City of Cleveland will operate warming centers on January 14-15 and January 18-20 from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Slower Speeds = Safer Streets! 🚧 The speed limit on Lake Ave (W 117th → Detroit) is now 30 mph. This change creates a calmer, more consistent corridor and helps reduce crashes and improve safety for everyone.

The City of Cleveland has declared a Snow Emergency Parking Ban, effective from 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, until 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. City buildings will also have a delayed opening at 11 a.m. on 12/2.

Today, we received critical support from many local faith leaders for Building Brighter Futures. This bold plan will require our entire community’s support, and these places of worship are a foundational part of the lives of many of our CMSD students and their families.

We're announcing a 30-day moratorium on utility disconnections. The federal shutdown and cuts to SNAP benefits have placed an unfair and unexpected burden on households. No one should have to choose between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table.
