Dr. Matthew Herman's gloriously haunting setting of Emily Dickinson's "I Shall Not Live in Vain," received an honorable mention in our call for scores and is another piece we are thrilled to debut at our "Songs for a New South" concert series.

Songs for a New South will feature The Carter Family Canticles by Dr. Jeremy Smith, a three movement suite for choir based on traditional lyrics and melodies, as well as works by A.P., Sara and Maybelle Carter.
