I love the oak trees around my home. But it's prime acorn season and it's sooooooooo loud. 🙉 This video is from a few years ago, but it's about the same. Non-stop plunk plink clunk. I also have an old school metal chair and side table now so when an acorn hits that it's SUPER loud.

I went to a local town hall meeting this evening. It was so refreshing to see democracy working. We didn't all agree, but it was civil and I think everyone respected each other and why some things couldn't be done (at least not now)

I woke up to Mordor - weird smoke-light from the Garnet Fire mixed with clouds. Everything had a salmon colored cast to it. Then the thunder started rolling. Now it's raining. I can still smell a bit of smoke, but the petrichor is winning. Frodo and Smeagol have cast the ring into Mt Doom. 🌋
