This can not be stressed enough. I actually can feel that my overall well-being is improving when I make myself the top priority. There are still rooms for improvement, but I think I handle myself pretty well. Friends are still essential to me, so I’ll see what I can do with it next.

Not having much energy to socialize in furry fandom tbh. I still enjoy hanging out / chatting with furs that I know well, I just feel a bit aimless and felt meh meeting new fur friends. I feel that it’s enough to just stay connected with known / close fur friends, and spend most time with myself.

I have been wondering about one thing for so long: Many furries seem to be okay with creating (or commissioning) a fursona that doesn’t resemble them, whether body type, height, outfit, personality, expression, etc.. While I have Fidget fox and yes I enjoy suiting them, Fidget is not me. Shu is. 🧵

It’s so easy for me to focus on the pessimistic side of my life: what I once had but lost now, what I am having but will lose later, what I don’t have but others seem to have. Instead, perhaps I should practice more on reminding myself what I have and will have, to remind myself how lucky I am.

I very much love the idea of connecting with people worldwide(ish, mostly western let’s be honest, and given the fact I’m using English) through the internet, and even some of the connection became very meaningful to me. But really, being physically present makes lots of diffs, especially the hugs.

I don’t like the idea of letting the emotion come and go like they’re passengers of my life. I own my emotion and they are part of me. I know it’s better to just let go the feelings (learned in a hard way tho), but I guess I just want to grasp on something that I cherish but do not own.

Adding new friends on social media and pending for approval kinda eat up my attention. Should just leave it be and clear up my mind.

Picking a hiking route on-the-fly is a new concept to me. It requires me to be open to unexpected and be adaptive. Hiking with a friend like that further requires empathy. I’m a meticulous planner. I *need* things act as planned. But yeah trying my best to be flexible. Need more practices for sure.

“Whenever feeling down, work on the abs and core.” This technique surprisingly works for me and improves my mental health aaand my physical body, though only tried a few times. Breathing works too but workout is easier for me to focus on one thing.

Speaking of, haven’t been playing drum set for a long while, and I finally had enough energy to grab my drumsticks and play along the drum cover of some funky anime music 👀✨ Man it feel so good playing a song which gives me good learning curve. Always accomplish something every time I practice.

I don’t have an elegant solution for now for browsing social media content on my own terms (like email digest). Now I’m kind of aiming for organizing a list of links of profiles (friends and artists etc.) that I’m interested in, and then just go through them 1 or 2 times per week.

Getting Things Done is my happy place.

It’s just so easy to hit the follow button, but then it’s equally easy to be messed up by the platform algorithm who decide what to read in what (shuffled) order. Trying to be more active choosing what to read, like being on a diet.

*calmly observing the grey fox* Can sadness and happiness coexist? Over these months it’s more likely that the sadness trumps the happiness, even though both emotions are real. It’s almost like a tendency that I “enjoy” more in sadness than in happiness.

Color filter do have some positive impact on my swiping time. I still swipe Twitter and Facebook, but spend less time during the day. On the other paw, I convinced myself to wait for a few months and focus on something else at the mean time. Not much progress, but am calmer than before.

Grayscalize my iPhone. Sounds like a thing that a certain grey fox would do. Also now the images below and the bsky app and everything are all grayscale to me until night time.

It’s Feeling Insecure And Self-Conscious time. Which means I need to ignore the elephant in my brain again and leave it to my therapist this weekend.

It’s Away From Internet time.

So many things to tidy up. Personal to-do list, taking care of my own health with cooking and workouts, career planning, things regarding to friends and family, financing, travel plans, errands and houseworks, etc.. The hardest part is to be mentally ready to take actions.

Unable to do paragliding due to strong wind, had a fun motorbike trip nevertheless.

Physically away from Internet helps me focus on present when I’m on the cruise ship. Feels good.

Haven’t been driving for a long while. Turns out to be okayish. (Driving for hours is still stressful tho) I guess I’m kinda into driving a smol car in Taiwan because you know everything in the city is crowded. Road is narrow, parking place is extra smol, motorbikes swarm, traffic interweave, etc.

Having eventful weekends is nice. Staff meeting, ferry trip, motorcycle trip, trip with friends. Maybe will plan more things to do later. Pic unrelated.

I might post more things on bsky instead of X. The X browsing experience is just getting worse. So yeah have a recent human me pic fixing stuff here. I guess it could be one of the rare irl pics I post online for a while.

I think I get emotional very easily. A song, a news clip, or some furry I like, and then I get triggered. I don’t act it out though. I know how to deal with it, just that I still believe I’m able to make a change so that I would be emotionally satisfied. But I guess I should instead take a nap.

I had a weird dream. I still remember at the end of the dream I was wearing a gown with my fluffy grey tails. After flying for a bit I appeared in a Chinese style banquet (round tables), and I met my family while my gown is still on me. My mom and brother seems to be happy and took me a picture.

I don’t wanna give a shxt about political opportunists who just hijack our attention and spread hate and just yell at everything without solving any real problems. *frowns in fox*

Always feel numb and gives a *sigh* when reading recent news happened in Legislative Yuan. I also aware that possessing such feelings instead of acting on it is exactly what the enemy of Taiwan wants to see, so doubles the frustration 😓
