Most of my advice is positive rather than talking about how insanely hard writing can be some days because, having been someone without supportive voices in my corner at times in my life, I understand the need to have just one person telling you that you can when the rest of the world says you can't

I also know so many LGBTQ+ folks in Alabama who can't "just move" and abandoning them is NOT an option either! Finally, the furthest left person I know lives in central Alabama. Always makes me frustrated when center-left AT BEST folks say that red states deserve to be abandoned.

I really, REALLY wish people would internalize the absolute stranglehold voter suppression and gerrymandering have over many red states with high BIPOC populations (who reliably vote blue) before consistently writing off these entire states and saying shit like “they deserved it”.

I feel like in the 1980’s/90’s this would be a major plot point in a Tom Clancy novel, and the operation would be carried out as an off-book, illegal black op, with various characters trying to cover it up lest they face congressional hearings. Now the President just announces it.
