An arduous battle, finally won.

Buying a motorcycle has been such an absolute pain in the ass. Its been a month since I started the process and I still don't have my loan. I can't stand how disconnected everything has been. You don't talk to people in person anymore and as a result, no one really bothers to get things done.

I'm envious of the folks who are openly furs, or interact with the community and have professional lives. It's cost my professional art career dearly and I've been cut out of entire circles for merely being suspected of being a furry because they saw "that CSI episode".

Been wanting to stream my massive retro game collection. Not happy with HDPVR defaults, I set up a bash script to do a local network stream of my PS2 @ 60 fps into OBS. Borrowed a CRT overlay graphic from Launcbhox and concocted a fake real time screen-space reflection on the bezel. Lookin' good.

Closing time

I noticed that kids and teens in this day and age don't understand the concept of an arcade. I've seen kiddos walk away from a pinball game after losing one ball, leaving the DDR machine after one song, same for Guitar Hero, or losing a single life in Donkey Kong.

Personal best on James Bond pinball. I'm getting better.

Dipshit workers from the dealer decided it was easier to turn off the entire breaker panel than unplug the icemaker. They never turned them back on. Now I have an entire restaurant freezer of rotten food to throw out. I cant get over the level of incompetence and stupidity on display in this city.

Now that our bar is shut down, there's a certain irony that I've learned to pour a pretty damn good beer.

In other news, I'm happy to report that our arcade is doing well. Trying to get some form of Tetris into the lineup. Atari's '88 Tetris is rather expensive (and difficult) to obtain, so I'm hoping we can import a Grand Master 3 Terror Instinct sometime.

I've had a hellish year. Still in hell, and not sure if it's going to get any better anytime soon. All I can do is to stay the course with stoicism and a focused mind. My commission work is getting done, but I'm overdue for updates. That will be coming forthwith, shortly.

Finally figured out the last of my Pop OS shell theming issues. I am now supremely comfy.

Kinda miss #drawing. Don't do it as much as I used to. Gonna fix that, however. Had to run all my tech pens through the sonic cleaner to knock out all the dried ink and buildup from years of use. They should be good to go now.

Every time I sign up with a new social media service, I feel like I'm retelling my Spider Man Origin Story. "My name is Nicki Tens, and I was bit by a radioactive fursuit." But instead of swinging around on webs, I just turn people into cute mice. It's a fairly useless power, but a satisfying one.
