I made butternut squash soup this weekend with our makeshift kitchen Setup. Fall can now begin.

Woken up to every smoke detector screaming at us. No fire. No smoke. All refused to be silenced. I literally had to rip all of them off their cords because they would not disconnect properly, too. As a pharmacist who had received many questions about Dr. Oz’s latest TV fad (que raspberry ketones), I’m not at all surprised by the Dr. Oz style rebuke of Tylenol with recommendation for some unproven supplement that Dr. Oz sells. 😒

Just got a $21 Washington Gas bill. Total use: 0. Our gas line has been capped at the meter all month since we removed all gas from our home. [waiting to cancel until I see if/when we’re getting a generator]
