Apple's NameDrop feature is pretty cool except… 1. Nobody knows it exists 2. There's no UI while not using NameDrop to check what you are sharing (making it slow/embarrassing to do so in the moment) 3. Receiving a contact, they just disappear into Contacts with no "Recently Added" UI

Shareshot 1.4.2 is in the App Store with handy bug fixes: ✶ Dragging out into another app will use the right file name. ✶ On Mac, the image title shouldn't disappear from the toolbar anymore. * On iPadOS 26 window controls stay now stay, added "Format" menu, "Customize Toolbar..."

Another 1.4 Beta build fixes a bunch of issues especially on macOS Tahoe. Some new backgrounds and a nice bug fix that improves startup time!

It is nice how iOS 26 glass buttons pick up the colour from the UI if you have a colourful Ui. Looking forward to shipping this. You can try the beta now and help us out with troubleshooting and in exchange you get to use it free until 1.4 ships.

Another 1.4 beta is live with a fixes and polish plus new background groupings. Also seems that the Beta is incorrectly saying Pro is required for some styles, I'll fix that in the next build, apologies! Here's a screenshot showing the background colour affecting glass.

This added much-requested custom export sizes and fixed width exports, as well as new striped backgrounds plus "solidarity" & many LGBTQ+ backgrounds, now free for all with no watermark.

We know we've been quiet for a while! We are working hard on release 1.4 which is going to be a big one. Still a little way off but things are starting to come together nicely. Refactoring is hard, who knew 😹. Of course there's all the glass shenanigans to deal with too… busy times. 💦🥃📱💻🖥️

We have a bug where Shortcuts intents fail to produce output with a clear background. There's a stupid workaround! Set your action's Output Format to JPEG. Yes that's right, JPEG. The .jpg file should be renamed to .png because… it's really a PNG 🤦‍♂️ New 1.3.3 release coming soon to fix it. Sorry 🙏

All is right in the world again. Our Mac icon is now the lovely pink it should be.

OK @shareshot.app 1.3.1 is rolling out now in the App Store with fixes: 🤦‍♂️ Framing was broken for screenshots taken on devices using Display Zoom. 😱 Custom and Fixed Size output sizes could sometimes result in hairline gaps between the screenshot and frame. 🤮 Export would somtimes use an old image.

I am pretty confident we've fixed the issues with framing screenshots taken on devices using Display Zoom plus some new and old "background bleed" glitches at certain zoom scales / custom sizes. 1.3.1 Beta is live now… submitting for review later.
