I'm very happy to announce that I've teamed up with a programmer friend and we're on track to release a Steam game soon. Desktop companion with clicker mechanics. Cozy graphics. Cheap price. No AI assets, only a bit for problem solving. Stay tuned and I'll try to post updates.

Talked to someone today who saw the ads for Evony, thought they'd try a simple puzzle game, and four years later are still playing the ruthless strategy, resource management game and are running an alliance. Goes to show that misleading ads work 😞

Great thread In a utopia - game devs' needs would be satisfied no questions asked - they'd make games for passion and culture - games would be available for free Instead we have rent extractors like Steam or Unity who don't take risks, and game devs can go hungry if their game fails.

Even rigorous playtesting won't catch everything. For Iliad, I playtested it around 60 times (mostly first timers). A friend who bought final product asked me what the tie break rule is. In 60 tests, there was no tie 😳 Had to mention it on online FAQ

I love the fact that Bluesky's algorithm doesn't prioritize videos. On other social media I'd get multiple videos in a row, but I prefer text posts with a few image+text posts. It's as if this place was made with me specifically in mind!

I found a very easy way to quit the other app: After installing bluesky on my phone, I placed its icon where the other app was. Now I open bluesky through muscle memory 💪 haven't opened the other app in days.

After 10 years I had to change my PC. It completely died three times last 12 months. Went through 7 house (and 2 country) moves. Screens weren't always turning on, two legs were broken, had to support the GPU with a stick. Got new one Monday, was too busy whole week, hope to set up this weekend.
