I've complained a couple times about the lack of physics community here but not done much about it! New commitment: I'll post one interesting arXiv paper a day until things are better. (To the folks who follow me for non-physics science policy, don't worry; plenty more of that reporting to come.)

Suresh et al. introduce CoTra, a Transformer designed for quantum matter snapshots. It identifies both local and global correlations with >95% accuracy and interprets which n-point correlators matter most for classifying quantum phases.

Researchers have proposed to model cuprate and nickelate superconductors using single-layer and bilayer optical lattices, respectively. These simulations could aid the design of new materials with high superconducting temperatures.

Check out the synopsis on our paper — we found a model in which you get high critical temperatures for superconductivity 🔥 and can even probe it in a cold atom experiment 🥶
