There are a lot of hungry Oklahomans as a result of this Republican shutdown. In fact, The Oklahoman reported that we’re the 9th most impacted state. #TeamJena rolled up our sleeves & helped. We packed 589 boxes of food that will create 11,000+ meals to feed hungry children.

Today, Karl and I had so much fun at the 30th annual Mesta Festa in the heart of OKC. The weather was great and the company was excellent. One of the best parts of the campaign is spending time meeting people who care so much about the future of their community, their district and their nation!

The team and I had so much fun walking in Tecumseh’s Frontier Day Parade this morning. CD-5 has such a great mix of big cities, small communities and rural towns. It’s important to remember the past and celebrate our progress, together.

Ryan Walters never cared about education. He never cared about the kids. He never cared about the teachers. Everything I said that he would do, he did. He has hurt Oklahoma in a profound way. So to my old “friend” Ryan: don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

I am not afraid to meet with the people in the 5th district. Oklahomans deserve better.

Today, three students were wounded at a Colorado High School. A political activist was killed in Utah. These senseless acts harm us all and corrode our democracy, and it is time for us as a country to take steps to prevent violence.

AI is revolutionizing America’s economy and job markets faster than anyone imagined possible. We must design guardrails that harness AI to eliminate dangerous work while protecting and growing opportunities for human ingenuity. That’s something I’ll work to enact in Congress.

Seeing the reports of the Minnesota school shooting and my heart is breaking. I know it’s not nearly enough, but my prayers are with the victims and their families. Our children and our educators shouldn’t live in fear of a gruesome act every day they step inside a classroom.

Thanks to the 120+ who attended our first town hall! Public forums are a pillar of democracy. The conversation was productive and showed that even when we don’t agree, we don’t have to be disagreeable. I look forward to continuing these conversations as the campaign continues.

Well, I was going to acknowledge that my opponent finally scheduled an in-person forum event in CD-5 after four long years, but it turns out the venue isn’t even in CD-5. Apparently she can’t remember what she gerrymandered out of her own district. I predict we’ll see this one cancelled, too.

It’s a beautiful Saturday in CD-5! I spent the morning with the good folks at the Lincoln County Free Fair & Cattle Show. Ranching and Ag are pillars of Oklahoma’s economy. In Congress, I’ll fight to make sure our farmers & ranchers have resources they need to stay strong. 💪

Skyrocketing prices are coming soon to a grocery store near you. The richest 1% won’t notice, but we will. And we vote.

MIA… CD-5 Rep Stephanie Bice is missing in action. It’s been FOUR years since she’s deigned to meet her constituents in-person for a town hall. She’ll post her grip-and-grin photo opps and brag about her tele-phony events. But she knows what she’s done is wrong.

This week marks the 67th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Sit-Ins - among the first in the nation. It is a great pleasure to honor Clara Luper, her students and all who came together to demand equality and justice. We also rededicate ourselves to their cause.

As a teacher, I loved back-to-school season - getting to meet my students and their families, watching them make friends and build trust. Our kids, all our kids, deserve access to a quality education. You better believe that will be a top priority in Congress. #FlipTheFifth
