Very sad news. I learned more about severe local convective storms from Chuck Doswell than anyone else. He was a friend and mentor.

Abandoned cars on Palisades Dr about to be overtaken by the fast moving #PalisadesFire. KTLA reporter & cameraperson got waaaay too close and had to run down the hill due to flames rapidly encroaching. Can't understate how rapidly this situation is escalating. Horrifying.
