in North Hinksey. The Seacourt stream and the river Thames are indeed overflowing. Floodplains doing their thing.

There is, one study estimated, 5.5 square miles of London used for on-street car parking. Rather than whinge about the massive popularity of a sustainable, healthy form of transport, boroughs could instead just do more to accommodate it.

Cycle commute in the rain. Make up has migrated halfway down my face and I’m sweaty underneath the waterproofs. Any tips other than ‘more makeup and perfume in bag’ and ‘ride slower’? I’m sure it used to be an easier than this.

Trying out the River Rapids bus to Reading as there are no trains. So far, on time, very empty, basically giant blue, cheap and very slow taxi. Pray for my bladder though as giant coffee this AM 😱😱😱

My son is very confused. I have been in meetings in London. He genuinely thinks I went to meet Paddington and then as the meeting was in YouTube’s offices I am now in his tablet. ‘Mummy has gone to YouTube’ Oh to be little again 😍

A feast of Mexican beans made from last year’s dried rosecco beans and summer confit tomatoes plus cumin, chilli, garlic and the end of Sunday’s chicken. This is one of the best and cheapest meals I have made in a long time.

Not a massive fan of the Westgate buuut … Click and collect by bike is sooooo much easier now cars aren’t trying to murder me on a bike. (Also parcels don’t get nicked from my doorstep). Uniqlo thermals, in and out in 4 mins. This may be the way.

Good evening! It’s Oxford City Council’s special meeting to discuss (but not actually decide…) whether to stage elections this year. Usually this wouldn’t be up for debate, of course, but the Government has raised the option given the impending local government reorganisation.
