Finally dared to go #bouldering again but halfway through the session had to stop 🙄 My chronic vertigo has been acting up the past weeks now thanks to weather & stress, and got triggered by the climbing movements. FFS. But at least I got *some* routes done again.

Just finished The Drifter. What an amazing point & click adventure that was! Graphics, sound, atmosphere, music, UX just clicked & the story got me hooked instantly. If you like the genre, I can really only recommend getting and playing this, it's worth it! store.steampowered.com/app/1170570/...

It's Friday, which means I went #bouldering again this morning! Some new routes again, and even though I was extremely tired I managed to get a good workout I think 💪

Still in recharging mode (this vacation really was extremely necessary and almost too late it seems) but still went #bouldering this morning! My arms ended up fully pumped way too early for some reason, but still managed to do some that required grip strength 💪

I've posted some of my pictures from #why2025 over at my Fedi account: chaos.social/@foosel/1150... This was the first event like that where I took a proper camera with me (Lumix GX80 and a couple of lenses) and it certainly won't be the last.

Still recovering from WHY and work, but still went #bouldering this morning. Ooof, what a heat in the hall, even at 7am! 🥵 But I still managed to get some routes done, some old, some new, and it felt good to work out again!

This has definitely been also a highlight of my experience at @why2025.bsky.social , lovely to meet Gina and find out we have so much in common 🫶🏻 already thinking about next camp!

I'm still in full blown recharging mode, but I want to share that one of my (admittedly many) personal highlights of my past few days at #why2025 was meeting @erikaheidi.bsky.social in real life and nerding out about climbing and 3d printing! 😄

My home office just got an upgrade I've been thinking about for more than half a decade 😬 I can now not only stand while working (electric standing desk bought back in 2015), no, I can also now WALK while working thanks to a shiny new walking pad 😊

And another #bouldering session has been done! 💪 As this year so far has been extremely tricky with regards to minor injuries, vertigo and such, I'm proud of every single one I manage to do!

FINALLY back on the wall! Thanks to some injuries and EuroPython it's been three weeks since the last #bouldering session, but today I finally made it back. Very happy with the session too, of 18 routes I topped 16 😊 Probably will fight the Soreness of Doom this time tomorrow though 😅

Together with my travel buddy Timothy I'm now also on my way to @europython.eu! For now some waiting at the gate is in order... #europython #europython2025

I just swapped the batteries in my Aranet4 CO2 monitor for the first time, not because they ran out, but because I have a conference coming up and didn't want to risk that happening THEN. I got that device on October 27th 2023. So that means it made it almost two years on one charge. Impressive AF!

Have been spending the week so far working on a plugin for #OctoPrint's new comm layer that will be part of 1.12.0 & as of earlier today I'm able to print on Moonraker enabled Klipper based printers😁

Even though today is probably going to be a way to hot day, I went #bouldering this morning as it finally worked out again that I'd have a bouldering buddy. The gym was quite warm already at 7am, but I still managed to top some new routes.

✅ #Bouldering session (despite having slept like crap and fighting with my chronic vertigo) Slipped and fell off a route I had already done in the past, just as I was reaching the top. Still annoyed by that 😅 Nothing hurt through.

Today's #bouldering session went better than Wednesday's, somehow I had more energy even though I have a busy week behind me now. I still need to be careful with my finger pulleys, avoiding crimps where I can, and the elbow is still annoying, but things seem to get better.

I just had to adjust the registration guidelines of OctoPrint's plugin repo to explain that a vibe coded plugin that the "author" doesn't understand themselves can't be maintained by them and thus doesn't belong on the official plugin repo, and I really don't like our reality.

Another #bouldering session down, after yet another forced break. This year is really not the best when it comes to my health in general between chronic & other crap - frustrating AF 😒 But I do my best to make it to the gym whenever my body and head play along and consider every session a win!

I've let a professional shorten my built-in gravity indicator 😂 Exactly two years of growth now since the last cut, it really was about time, it started to annoy me greatly.

On a more positive note, I went #bouldering again this morning. Halfway through the session I fell off a route and hurt my left wrist somewhat, but it's already much better. I was also able to still continue until the end. As my partner would say "Don't break Gina!" 😅

Ngl, I'm seriously starting to consider to move my projects off of GitHub, as the constant push towards AI is taking away more and more control for me as a maintainer 😕

I got a small taste of the zombie apocalypse today thanks to a partial power outage at the supermarket* 😬 I have to say, taking care of my groceries with a flashlight was actually kind of fun 😄 * Coolers and POS still working, all lights out though

After a forced break due to elbow and finger ligaments being really angry after the last session, I finally went #bouldering again today (with lots of tape on my fingers and a bandage on my elbow, and carefully). Very happy with the session, despite the tendon issues! 😊

Incredibly stressful morning thanks to a complete traffic chaos here, but somehow I made it to the climbing gym & back and did a session. Energy levels are not where I'd like them to be. Friday was definitely a more successful session 😅 But the most important thing is: I went, I climbed 💪

I haven't bound a book in a while but wanted to turn my copy of The Perilous Void into something physical for use on my #Starforged adventure. I went for a double fan bound paperback. Not perfect, but I'm still quite proud of it 😊 #solorpg #ttrpg #bookbinding

It was a stressful week. A week full of migraines. Which makes me even more proud of my #bouldering session this morning. I managed to top some harder routes again, including the pictured roof route where I successfully used technique where my strength left me 💪 Feeling good about myself!

Oh dear... Currently on my first campaign of #Starforged, and since my character Quinn Beckett just managed to encounter some territorial killer emu with a really bad attitude + extremely bad breathe, I guess after 4 or 5 sessions I now will finally have to figure out how combat works in this game 😬

Despite yet another headache*, I started the day with a #bouldering session that I'm actually quite happy with. * Nothing unusual, suspecting vestibular migraine, tracking & will try to get an appointment with a neurologist soon. No need to worry.

I've been owning vacuum robots for over a decade now and I can tell you, it never gets boring 😂 Today while I was running errands the little bot locked itself in the kitchen (common) and apparently decided to drown its sadness about that in Nutella (that's a new one). Came back to this picture.
